Yeah it was sad to see Guy get attacked. I had been meaning to unlock mine and knew he had a vid up. The day he took everything down I had opened a web tab as a reminder and later when I went to do it the vid was gone. It was real nice of you to put this up. I may never use the 2w (like you said) but yeah why not have it as an option. Thank you.

I think when you cranked your module to 2000mw at the end your microphone started picking up interference from the module with a high pitched sound..... neat!

Have you checked by chance with an output meter to see if it was actually putting out the full 2W by chance from the radio battery? I was under the impression it would have to be powered from the xt30 connection in order to get the full 2W output

I tried it on my Bandit, the only problem is the power settings field are in DAC values. So I am not sure what DAC value to add for 2w mode. Although the module does say 2000mw output now.

You wont need an external battery for some radios, the TX16S can handle 2W on the JR bay, but other radios you will. I didn't do any battery tests but this absolutely will drain your batt faster. If I ever genuinely use this, I'll power externally

Any idea on the new bandit module? I can get into the configuration menu and set 2w but power control and power level values shows up differently. Bandit shows up ESP DACWRITE and ranger is SEMTECH. Anyone have any idea?

Does anyone has an idea why the minimum power is set to 25mW and not 10mW? Is there any issue with the 10mw? For LongRange I want the max avaialable, but for tinywhoop indoor, I would not mind if it drops down to 10mW.

@@justinmuller4809 Not really. Maybe it is some arbitrary HW limitation. I did not put much effort to find out, it is not that critical to me. Anyway if you want long range, the Bandit 1W (or Emax Aeris 2W 900MHz) may be a better solution now.

Has anyone did this change on the Radiomaster Ranger Micro module? I just did, it shows 2000mW in the ExpressLRS LUA but the "level values" were not exactly the same on my radio. (-17,-15,-12,-7,-4.2) I replaced the -4.2 for -2.2 but I wouldn't want to blow up the module...

No, the nano and micro are limited to 1w only. The full size module comes in a metal case and has a high power fan to handle the temperature for 2w.
