Just started FPV and your videos have been a life saver. All the others go into all sorts of stuff that is not needed and go on rants. Your vide was informative, to the point and instructional. I love it. Definitely earned my sub after watching two of your videos. I will be diving into the rest of your catalog in the coming days :)

Hello, do you mind answering what batteries I need to buy for the TX 12? I saw the 2PCS MECO 3.7v 4000mAh Protected Rechargeable 18650 li-ion batteries. Are those good and do they work for the TX 12?
@the-happy-RC-flyer3 жыл бұрын
They should be fine. 18650 batteries are 18mm x 650mm. I cannot vouch for that particular make of batteries because I have never used them.

Hi, I know this is a bit late, but I wanted to ask why does my tx12 batteries not charge, when I plug it via usb c the power button goes red, which I assume means it’s charging but the light turns off after a minute or so and every time I turn on the controller it gives me the battery low warning

Have you checked the batteries with a multimeter? I am not sure if you have completed battery calibration which is worth giving a go. Check my playlist lists for a video on how to complete the calibration process. If this does not work I think your radio maybe faulty. Remember never leave it charging without being nearby.

To calibrate do I have to have the maximum battery charge? I have two pairs of 18650 batteries one of them is 3.7v the other one can reach 8.4v for each set do I have to do a calibration? Congratulations on the video.

I do charge the batteries fully before calibrating the radio. Just measure the voltage of both the batteries in the holder.

Hello, thank you for video. I try to find information - if I use Li-ion battary, max recommended on cell is 4.1 V (Li-po 4.2 V), but radiomaster charges Li-ion battery to 4.2 V per cell (ie 8.4 V - 2 cells). Is it normal to keep Li-ion battery for 8.4 V for a long time? ))
@the-happy-RC-flyer2 жыл бұрын
Sergey, I have had no problems with using a Li-ion battery in my TX16s. If in doubt contact support at RadioMaster and they will advise you.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer TX12, there is automatic charge, while playing in simulator (to 8.4 Volts). I also have TX16 and also there no problem, because in tx16 has no charging while you playing in simulator.

Hey Bill. I play liftoff stimulator almost every day and every time I play my radio will fully charge my 2s battery. So is it bad to leave the 2s battery fully charge every day? And is there a way to set the radio to charge up to 75% of the battery and stop charging?
@the-happy-RC-flyer3 жыл бұрын
I would say its ok because you are using the battery everyday to discharge it and charge it a few hours later would not make much difference. If you are concerned about the battery being fully charged all the time make sure you store the battery in a safe place and in a lipo bag. If the battery is in the radio store the radio with the lipo batteries but I do not think it is a problem. I store my batteries in a metal case but if I charge a battery and do not use it but I know I will the next day I store in a lipo bag over night in the metal case. Being cautious with lipo batteries is not a bad thing and you can easily forget they are also in your radio! If it really worries you use 18650 in your TX12. No, you cannot calibrate the radio to charge to a set level as far as I understand.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer I need to plug in the USB to my radio to be able to play the simulator. I was wonder will it overcharge my 2s or 18650 battery if I keep playing? or I need to drain the battery and then play the simulator and let it charge back up to drain again?

@@chickennay5716 No problem to keep charging the batteries with the usb it will not over charge your batteries.

Hey Bill. You calibrate your battery with an uncalibrated multimeter. ;) Thats useless ;)
@the-happy-RC-flyer4 жыл бұрын
Better to do it with a basic multimeter than not at all in my opinion. The video is showing you how to do it, you can choose not to if you do not have a calibrated multimeter ;)
