for me, unintended.the first muse song i heard.when i heard it, i feel the chemistry(maybe because of matt voice), and its weird(different sound from other band like coldplay, oasis, the strokes, popular band from that time).and i dont even know muse that time.only years after that, and after absolution release,i know about muse.and i remember unintended because of matt voice.after that i bought absolution cassette, after hours of listening, i bought showbiz and origin of symmetry with hullabaloo disc.and yeah,i been fan since then.thank you to whoever play that unintended song, because of you i found my fav band.

Yh you wouldn’t expect his pitch to go up that high one bit, plug in baby was the first proper falsetto I heard from him and I was shocked I wasn’t expecting it, but when I try to sing his songs. My own voice doesn’t work, I have to use a fake singing voice like him, he basically puts more air into his normal voice

@Rob Melrose I disliked it at first but over the years I have come to appreciate it. I was 12 when it came out and had recently got into them through Guitar Hero 3. I enjoyed New Born, KOC, Bliss, Plug In Baby, Stockholm etc.. so when The Resistance came out I only enjoyed the louder ones, my fav being Unnatural Selection. Back then I didn't care for thr symphonies and didn't even think of them as being part of the album. I still wonder whether them writing 3extra band tracks and releasing the symphonies as it's own release would have been better but they are now part of The Resistance for me and I enjoy the album because of how obscure it is. Alt,, Electronic, symphonic rock, classical, etc. It's probably on par with BHAR.

I feel that tho, like it's so enjoyable to hear it then you play it and your entire arm hurts an it's like "aaargh mustn't stop playing" then all of a sudden you need a new arm😆

I love this band! A bit dissapointed by this interview though. A lot of matter of fact comments like "we play it a lot" "it's still on current setlits" "the people in that country love it". It gets interesting when Matt talks about Knights of Cydonia, I wish there was more meat to their answers.

I agree. Though to be fair, the interviewer just kind of said the name of a song and then sat there. Like, what are they supposed to say, you know?

"Starlight", "Undisclosed desires"... how can it be more iconic than "Cave", "Sing for absolution", "Showbiz" or "Butterflies n' Hurricanes"... and I don't even talk about slow tracks such as "Blackout" or the Exogenesis Symphony. Surprising...

To many to mention for me: Showbiz (title track), Cave, Muscle Museum, Unintended, Plug in Baby, New Born, Butterflies and Hurricanes, Time is Running Out, Shrinking Universe, Dead Star, Sing for Absolution, Stockholm Syndrome, In Your World are classics (IMHO) from the Showbiz - Absolution era alone.

Interesting selection of what is their most "iconic songs". Seems like the interviewer's opinion. Surprised that there was no Plug in Baby, Madness, Supermassive Black Hole. My favorites are: *Newborn *Apocalypse Please *Butterflies&Hurricanes *City of Delusion *Hoodoo *Unnatural Selection *Supremacy
