Thanks for sharing as I have tons of flowers and seed pods. I am picking in my homemade apple cider vinegar. I will be collecting seeds for next year. I will also try to grow the seeds as microgreens for the fall & winter months in Edmonton, AB, Canada.

It's what we call rat's tail. Another variety with longer pods about 12 inches is called Dragon's tail.

That's cool to see the red/purple dragon tails. I didn't realize that they are in the daikon family.

Have you done a video on how to pickle the radish pods? I'd be very interested to try that!

We like them raw and pickled. I havent tried to cook with them and I don't care for the rat tailed ones as they got so fibrous before they got big.

I also let it go to seed and used them for sprouts this past winter. They sprouted well but I onlybsaved about 4 tablespoons worth

Hey khang starr ,id like to try out your crosses. I make my own hot sauces and spice rubs. What do I need to do to get a few seeds? Or if its not much to ask, a few pods you've been saving? I'd love to try your peppers. BTW, your videos on how to cross pollinate and how to make your own crosses are crazy knowledgeable... Again thanks for your reply.

Do the pods taste different depending on the radish species?
@mita694ever Жыл бұрын
For me the best ones are Daikon I eat as potatoes with stew beef, I did dragon tale and rat tale, quick easy harvest they are really thirsty and ask for lots of water, It is food they are not my favorite.

I preferred the pods instead the actual vegetable.
