Yeah, back then, Power levels meant something and it was an epic moment if they freaked out by an actual number. Also, the power levels were well distributed and almost every character had his value. Later they did not even name the numbers anymore, but what values did we get? 10.000.000, 40.000.000, over a billion and other crap. It all became a joke.

When suddenly Goku made a jump to over 100k and especially when Frieza reached exponentially 400k to 1m to 2m to 4m and so on. It totally lost the meaning and became a joke. If they only left it in the 5 to 6 digit range. A possible solution of how they could fix this mistake, is when Frieza or someone else brings out new Scouters in which the scale is different. Let's say a power level of 1m is comparable to 100 on the new scale.

Raditz is an abnormal Saiyan. While Saiyans are battle hungry and enjoy challenging battles (Vegeta had a same level rivalry with Kuwi, Goku challenges anything as strong or stronger than him, Bardock and King Vegeta took Frieza head on despite knowing they were weaker, Nappa kept fighting Goku after confirming he was stronger), Raditz gets alarmed by a power level that's not even 3/4 of his own

@@foreverblimped6494 thats bs writing that was retroactively attributed to goten. Goten went through no type of life struggles and grew up in relative peace up until the majin buu arc. They show that he trained with chi chi but chi chi shouldn't be enough of a challenge to push him. In my opinion (and a lot of other fans opinion) this is when the show got really bad and is one of many reasons why the majin buu arc was the worst in the series.
