I have that case and currently considering water cooling. If I only have one graphic card, would you consider mounting the reservoir horizontally on the PSU shroud? there's lots of room with only one card and it would allow for a ticker 280 rad in the front I think. I already own 7 ML140 fans that I want to use so I'm thinking a big 280 rad in the front, and a 140 rad at the rear, and two 140 fans at the top for exhaust.

hello, I have been following your videos for awhile. i would like to learn your way of building a pc. you are waaay better than everybody else ive seen. i dont know much about watercooling but i have been building pc and repairing them since commodore days. like you i am detail oriented. you are an artist tho. so i tip my hat to you. in my mind you are the best that ive seen. soooo. im upgrading my pc from I5 gtx 960 to i7 6600k i just bought an msi mpower titanium z170a with avexir raiden series memory. i really would like to do a raiders themed pc. i cant decide on a case. or watercooling elements. i kinda like the thermal take tower 900 also this case your using. can you help me decide what to buy.... thank you so much.

How do you actually control the fans using the watertemp? what hardware/software is needed for that?
@Dan81825
@Dan81825 6 жыл бұрын
You just need an aquaero or poweradjust (+aquasuite) and a temp sensor that measures the water temp. Then you can control your fans dependent on water temperature. The poweradjust cant control as many fans, but you can buy 2 or 3 of them and connect them via aquabus. I'd recommend an aquaero though^^

Custom cables need to be trained to stay in place. The sleeving must be heatshrinked very tight so you can bend it into any direction and have it stay there. Hope this helps! You can also watch the custom cable video for further info! Cheers

You need to purchase a special fitting with a thermal probe on it. And then you must connect ir to your motherboard if it has a connector dedicater to this or to something like the aquaero.
@jurunce
@jurunce 6 жыл бұрын
You need a temperature plug to insert into the reservoir (best option), and then you connect that to the TMP_IN header on the motherboard to control fan speed in the BIOS (this is my plan for now at least), or connect it to an Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 (LT, PRO, and XT) USB fan controller to control fan speeds in the OS.

Only small Problem that I can see so far is that you don't slap 4 RAM Sticks on a Z170 board. Sometimes that's asking for trouble. 2 sticks normally do the trick in dual channel. And by the way, the board itself can only handle DDR4 RAM up to 3200 MHz, so either they did a BIOS update which I don't know of, or 4266 Mhz RAM won't run as fast as it could. P.S.: No I don't need the mod kit.
@YannikTheWelsch
@YannikTheWelsch 6 жыл бұрын
Kind of confused about your PC builds that you have for order. You use pictures of the Phanteks Evolv on your websites and also build in it on your channel, but the actual case for the ordered build seems to be the NZXT H440. An oversight perhaps?

I would also like to see a Phanteks Elite build. Every build that I've seen either looks awfully empty or is way too cluttered (the 8pack Orion build). No build I've seen has made it look good. I've been waiting for Jayztwocents to do a build since he did say he wanted to try the case, but it looks like he's backpedaling on that statement. It would be awesome to see a well-built loop in the Elite.

Yo, Daniel, I appreciate the continued build videos. I have bought a decent amount of your products from sites like PPCs and have always been very satisfied. As far as sleeving USB 3.0 cables, I use 1/2" PET sleeve(example linked below), 5/8" 3:1 heatshrink that I expand carefully using a few sets of pliers, and a little bit of super glue at the ends to hold it all in place before heating the heatshrink. It's quite finicky and usually takes a few tries to get it to look good every time you do it. The end result is totally worth it though. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QQXPZPU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it has to be in order to get the "in" and "out" on the block correctly fitted for a waterloop like this. obviously it could be placed in the right orientation, but that would mean that the bends would be a lot more complicated.
