@@Another-Address i can actually make it work in any situation, if there's traffic i get in between cars (although i don't think it's healthy to ride too much in traffic because of the pollution caused by cars so whenever possible i try to use different routes like parks, etc..) and when it's raining it can actually be fun as long as you're wearing the right waterproof clothing.

You are like me with batteries, I have four batteries on my RAD MINI. I bought a newer ebike that comes with a 60-amp battery. Once I get another battery, I should be able to travel 200 miles without peddling.
@shekhar12037 ай бұрын
200 miles!! that's awesome!! i recently bought a 48v 30ah battery with lg cells and it's a wonder battery. in total i have 5 batteries so i can get approximately 150 miles range without pedaling, although two batteries are plenty for me (the 30ah and 24ah batteries) as i get approximately 95 miles with them two batteries.

Maybe hooking the two batteries in parallel would be a better option the adaptor would be dirt cheap. That would achieve the same thing with no switching of plugs.
@shekhar12032 жыл бұрын
i thought about that but i have used one battery for a while and the other one is brand new so when fully charged they have slightly different voltage and sometimes i use the bike continuously for long periods of time so it might be bad for the batteries if connected together. besides, it only takes like five seconds to switch batteries lol so i don't really mind doing that tbh

Hello there: Great video! Which front box is it, mayve a link, please? How much did you pay? How much did you spend for all battery packs? How many Ah/Wh do you have in total? How heavy is your bike now and can you still ride 20 miles/hour?
@shekhar1203 Жыл бұрын
hello and many thanks!! i bought the front top box on ebay for £50. it is listed as: MOTORCYCLE TOP BOX EXTRA LARGE XL 52L UNIVERSAL FITTING LUGGAGE. the batteries, i bought two of them for approximately £900. each battery is 48v 22.5 ah. with all that added weight my bike now weighs approximately 50kg. all that extra weight does affect the acceleration and it is slightly slower when going uphill but i get a very long range. tyre psi also affects top speed and hill climbing speed. i usually keep it at 30 psi. its been just over a year since i bought this ebike and i will do an update video of the bike very soon where i will go through some of the new pros and cons
@Albeare Жыл бұрын
I have enjoyed your video, I wonder though that adding 40-60 kg in batteries to a bike weighing rated for 130kg. How is it to ride with all that extra weight?
@shekhar1203 Жыл бұрын
many thanks!! and i have 4 batteries in total, 2 large capacity (5.5kg each) and 2 radpowerbikes batteries (3.5kg each). i usually carry 3 batteries at a time and i always carry a radpowerbike battery but that doesn't count as an extra weight so let's say that i bring with me the other two large capacity batteries, that's extra 11 kg. now, the performance depends on the tyre psi, i usually keep it between 25-30 psi, and that extra weight in the middle and at the front, for me, makes it very comfortable to ride. you will lose a little bit of hill climbing power but you get extra miles. i usually get this: 1 radpowerbike battery = 15 miles. 1 large capacity battery = 25 miles. if i bring 1 radpowerbike battery and 2 large capacity batteries i'll get 65 miles range. this bike is almost perfect, the only thing that's missing is rear suspension. i have a suspension seatpost but that makes it difficult to get on and off the bike because it's too high for me. but yeh, apart from that it feels very comfy. oh, and the front topbox weighs approximately 1kg, the rear delivery bag also approximately 1kg and another 1 kg in bits and pieces so overall i usually have between 12.5 kg and 14 kg in extra weight. and i weigh 75 kg

You could also just carry another battery in one of your bags... 🤷🏽♂️
@shekhar1203 Жыл бұрын
i prefer to install them on the bike because these batteries are a bit heavy and can't be bothered bringing them with me in a bag all the time. when doing deliveries it's not safe to have the battery in a bag because it can be stolen and also would make it difficult to pick up and drop off orders. at the moment i have two batteries installed and i keep one in the front top box, although this is just temporary and i will also install that third battery on the bike. there is just one big issue with the radrunner plus, and i haven't found a solution yet. i will explain it in a future video very soon, probably in march, when i start my next level videos.
@martinlandry5486 Жыл бұрын
@@shekhar1203 got it. I get your point. But with 3 batteries, the bike gets really heavy.
@shekhar1203 Жыл бұрын
@@martinlandry5486 yes the bike is a bit heavy with 3 batteries but this is how my bike works currently: 1 large capacity battery = 25 miles range, 2 large capacity batteries = 50 miles range, 2 large capacity batteries + 1 original battery = 65 miles range, 1 original battery alone without any other battery = 15 miles range. so basically even if i left my 2 large capacity batteries at home i would get only 15 miles range wich is not enough to do a long day of deliveries. in total i have 2 large capacity batteries and 2 original batteries so in one day i can do 80 miles, although i usually only carry 3 batteries and if i want to work almost the entire day then, usually, i would carry 2 large + 1 original batteries, use the original battery first, go back home, put it on charge and grab the other original battery so i still have 2 large batteries and 1 original battery, all of them fully charged. but yeah, it's just how my bike works and yeh, it's really heavy but all that extra weight has got it pros and cons. i will explain everything about my bikes in more detail before the end of march, when i start uploading my next level videos.
