Lightly heat gun the flares and theyll be moldable , and I also used some gap sealer on my rx8 before I decided To actually make my own flares with fiberglass … took about a week on my off time making them but was hella worth it !

Have same wing fit like crap as well. Took it off to I can set up a jig and re work it for now. Welded up holes before paint and will worry about it later

For those gaps between the flare and body, put sticky foam tape. I did that and it works great

When you took your emmisons off the 12a could you still run the engine with the Air control Valve still connected up ? I am changing the exhaust this week removing the catylatic converter . But havent the block off plate for the ACV just yet

make the wicker adjustable. put slots in it so you can raise and lower it.

That sure looked painful, but at the end of the day it is not a show car, you are building a street/track car and you want speed and handling as your top priority. I dont mind the black arches that much as a colour contrast with the red paint, for me I would probably pass on the go fast stripes. 😊

I would never do that to my FB, they are classic cars that are hard to find in good condition. Yours has a beautiful body and paint job. Those flares ruined its original beauty. The ideal was less wide wheels and an offset there. But it is my opinion as the owner of two Rx7, 1983 and a 1987 Turbo II

You can use a rubber trim seal to take care of the gap between the flare and body

@RADPotential oh also a body guy once taught me to put a little sealant around where you put the rivets in to keep water from getting in over time and rusting. How well it works I don't know but it hasn't done me wrong yet.

I put the rivets in with the red paint being wet, hopefully it does the same thing!
