If someone says God made girls for (xyz) reasons, they're describing a purpose for ALL girls/women. Not to mention the implication that guys don't cry or won't clean or be responsible without a woman. Because of course, in a conservative's world, it's a woman's inherent responsibility to keep a man in line.

I hate that everyone assumes she's saying the existence of women is to be an object for men. They're completely missing the message. Women are the important other half of a man, and that men are the important other half of women. This song is rejoicing in all of the beautiful things we bring to the table in a wonderful relationship. Men too bring wonderful things to the table. When did it become wrong to want to be feminine and want to have a man in your life? It doesn't mean you're a slave. It means you're putting someone else before yourself.
@faith2faithconnections448 Жыл бұрын
💕 Absolutely love this song! I can understand some of the comments though. But, we can’t assume, the problem. Just because women cry, doesn’t say men don’t. Some men may have to drag her “but” to church. But, it’s just a Great perspective and so much truth to it. Most woman in today’s world may not desire to be romanced (but take it back 15-20 years) Oh Yeah! Things were more innocent then and people weren’t so sensitive about everything. Sheesh! Write your own dang song! Pure beauty in this🙄😘
@tzeitelmccormick8297 Жыл бұрын
@@faith2faithconnections448 I especially like the song and it's message because it reminds me that, for the women with the dire of family and a man, that we are one half to a whole. It doesn't say to me that women are an object or only there for men, it says to me that we play an irreplaceable part in a wonderful story, just like she said. Men are the other half. The men are equally burdened with having to please us, as we are to them. Believe me, in my world a man will not get far if he plans to just use me. Men are no more special than women, but incredibly different in nature. There's nothing wrong with wanting a man in your life, or wanting to please a man. It's when you take it too far and forget that you are just as important and loved as he is. God made us special to be the compliment, and that right there is such a wonderful and beautiful role we play, at least it is in my mind. I get that not everyone sees it the same, but don't beat others down for wanting something different. I think that's what a lot of the people in comments forget. They go right into assuming the meaning behind the song is to be a slave to men. I think a lot of them have been hurt or told these things by others who have been hurt. Again, there's nothing wrong with wanting a man in your life, as well as there being nothing wrong with wanting a woman in your life.

Sometimes you just have to take a song as it is without making it political. Obviously, there is more to women than some of the superficial things she's listed. It's not about having someone to open the door for. It's about women completing men and the other way around and I think that's beautiful.

Good to know there's still a few of us out there that are enjoying this for exactly what it is.. A beautiful song about how women compliment men. "Somebody's gotta teach him how to dance"... Is she wrong? Definitely not.
@toter8010 жыл бұрын
Maybe it would be sweet if we were still in the 1900's but sadly were not. Its degrading for both sides, both men and women. For men it says you need a women to do basic stuff, for women it tells them what there role is. Also the message is why god made girls and what it says is to be there to help a man and that is it. Its not sweet, its a disgusting song that when you actually look at what it says makes you feel horrid.
@ellys10610 жыл бұрын
Tuter King Like I said, it explores one person's view of one aspect of relationship between a guy and his girl. For some girls, they will find happiness this way. And, many people believe that without the influence of women, men would be incomplete. Diverse viewpoints are part of what makes life the fascinating melting pot that it is.

Music is a massive platform to tell stories and convey emotion through sound and word. A song can say as much as the writer wants it to. There’s no limit to how much it can say. Why would anyone settle for a massively subpar story, an incredibly tone deaf emotion, or a woefully antiquated message? If it’s just something to hum along to without thinking, why include words at all? Why make music? Get into the commercial jingle business, that’s where that kind of song belongs. If you’re going to include words, tell a story worth telling. If you’re going to make music, convey an emotion worth conveying. This was not a story worth telling. It wasn’t an emotion worth conveying. This ultimately does nothing for the audience it was made for, so no, I’m not going sit and hum along. I’m going to demand more thought and consideration from songwriters so we can get music and stories that are not subpar. That convey emotion to its audience and says something.

It's amazing how many people will purposely twist the meaning of this song, all because they are feminists who are offended that this girl says girls wear skirts and are sweet and soft. Is that a bad thing? No, it isn't. This song also isn't saying that women were created to be slaves to men, it's saying that women were created to be complementary to men. A Yin and Yang sort of thing. Think about it: in every good, healthy relationship there are two people who balance each other out and bring out the best in each other. Although, I think the thing that offends people the most is her saying that GOD MADE girls. Whenever someone mentions God some overly sensitive atheist will get offended by it and go ranting in the comments section. Get over it, people. If you don't like it, then go listen to something else.

@vaultboy1239 жыл бұрын
calijuliedaisy Not intentionally. Upon initial listen, I can see how some might misconstrue the lyrics, so I get the knee-jerk overreaction from the fems. But upon further listen, I came to the realization that it was not so much sexist as it is simply a "guys need girls and girls need guys" song. We complete each other. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the folks who're raging at this song listened to it once then didn't bother listening to it any further. Sorry about the gender mix-up. Saw the avatar and simply assumed. Not intentional.

It's a pretty narrow view of femininity. She's young, she'll probably grow out of it when she realizes that always being the passenger seat isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's pretty suffocating when you're not allowed to express anger or anything of the sort without being against your 'femininity'. It's a cute song. My daughter just heard it a few days ago and loves it and I’m so glad she wants to listen to music that mentions God number one but also that she can tell this song is about all of the things that make a girl special! But also she’s not stupid enough to think it’s about being a slave for a man… just everything we are that should be appreciated and loved because last time I checked we ARE supposed to be all of the things h that a man lacks and everything that a man needs. Without each other a man and a women are not whole. That’s what’s great about finding that one person that completes you.
