Somebody's gotta climb up the trees Somebody's gotta eat acorns and seeds Somebody's gotta chew the power lines So God made squirrels Somebody's gotta bury all the nuts Save them for the cold winter months Make you swerve when you take a drive So God made squirrels He needed something small and brown, And low to the ground With bushy tails and tiny arms Something to drive my dog insane as It runs across the yard So God made squirrels God made squirrels He stood back and told my dog "I'm 'bout to rock your world" And God made squirrels God made squirrels He stood back and told my dog "I'm 'bout to rock your world" God made squirrels

Ya'll don't need to be hating on her. This song is telling women to be proud of their femininity.
@alyssalopez8721
@alyssalopez8721 8 жыл бұрын
It's a pretty narrow view of femininity. She's young, she'll probably grow out of it when she realizes that always being the passenger seat isn't all it's cracked up to be. It's pretty suffocating when you're not allowed to express anger or anything of the sort without being against your 'femininity'. It's a cute song. But I can understand why older, more mature people can find it annoying.

@pewpewindustries2657
@pewpewindustries2657 4 жыл бұрын
@@caleb7551 that's not a good thing. God is a metaphor for the forces out of our control (ie a cancer diagnosis, your spouse getting run over by a car, your father's alcoholism, etc). The fact that there are horrible things that can happen to us that we have absolutely no control over is fucking horrible and should not be celebrated as a "benevolent", caring God.
@caleb7551
@caleb7551 4 жыл бұрын
@@pewpewindustries2657 God is most definitely not a metaphor. And those things have to be able to happen so that the good things are actually good. There has to be a dichotomy. Would it feel rewarding to get to heaven if only 'good' things happened? No, these 'good' things would only be things. God lets us have free will so that we earn our way to his kingdom.

***** To be fair.....that's how they will keep the treatment of woman today. Over-hyping the crap of false information to pass laws that are bias towards men and boys (Such as never hitting a woman even in self-defense (which is starting to change as more men hit back on camera as proof that men get abused too), rape, and the like). Don't let them believe it. Search for the facts yourself and fact check everything that is spewed like C.H Sommers does with the radicals false statistics.

It's amazing how many people will purposely twist the meaning of this song, all because they are feminists who are offended that this girl says girls wear skirts and are sweet and soft. Is that a bad thing? No, it isn't. This song also isn't saying that women were created to be slaves to men, it's saying that women were created to be complementary to men. A Yin and Yang sort of thing. Think about it: in every good, healthy relationship there are two people who balance each other out and bring out the best in each other. Although, I think the thing that offends people the most is her saying that GOD MADE girls. Whenever someone mentions God some overly sensitive atheist will get offended by it and go ranting in the comments section. Get over it, people. If you don't like it, then go listen to something else.

calijuliedaisy Not intentionally. Upon initial listen, I can see how some might misconstrue the lyrics, so I get the knee-jerk overreaction from the fems. But upon further listen, I came to the realization that it was not so much sexist as it is simply a "guys need girls and girls need guys" song. We complete each other. I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that the folks who're raging at this song listened to it once then didn't bother listening to it any further. Sorry about the gender mix-up. Saw the avatar and simply assumed. Not intentional.

Maybe it would be sweet if we were still in the 1900's but sadly were not. Its degrading for both sides, both men and women. For men it says you need a women to do basic stuff, for women it tells them what there role is. Also the message is why god made girls and what it says is to be there to help a man and that is it. Its not sweet, its a disgusting song that when you actually look at what it says makes you feel horrid.

Tuter King Like I said, it explores one person's view of one aspect of relationship between a guy and his girl. For some girls, they will find happiness this way. And, many people believe that without the influence of women, men would be incomplete. Diverse viewpoints are part of what makes life the fascinating melting pot that it is.

OnePunch-Man they probably did either 1) they really dont care or 2) theyre just plain ignorant. it is proven that the things in the Bible are true. you always need something or someone to create the things that are made. like you. it took 2 people to make you. it takes people to build a building, it takes people to make video games. it takes someone or something to create the created. how did we get here? we were created. there is no such thing as spontaneous generation and that has been proven. there is no proof of evolution so that is wrong. ask yourself these questions and think on it, someday you may just find the right answer

Alternate Lyrics (by me) Somebody's gotta wear old ripped-up jeans Somebody's gotta be both heard and seen Somebody's gotta whip 'em into shape So God made girls Somebody's gotta help him in the yard Win all his money by playing cards Somebody's gotta be the one to dance So God made girls He needed something soft and loud and kind and proud But brave enough to fall in love Something beautiful, unbreakable, like the stars in the sky above So God made girls God made girls He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" And God made girls (For driving in the front seat) God made girls (For dancing to their own beat) He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" Then God made girls Somebody's gotta be the one to laugh Somebody's gotta be your other half Give them a reason to smile each day So God made girls Somebody's gotta put up a fight, Stand up for you and what you think is right And do good in the world and to people too So God made girls Someone that can help them up and call their bluff And respect what they believe Someone that is hard to handle, an example Of beauty at its best, so God made girls So God made girls God made girls He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" And God made girls (For driving in the front seat) God made girls (For dancing to their own beat) He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" Then God made girls Somebody's gotta wear old ripped-up jeans Somebody's gotta be both heard and seen Somebody's gotta whip 'em into shape So God made girls So God made girls God made girls He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" And God made girls (For driving in the front seat) God made girls (For dancing to their own beat) He stood back and told the boys "I'm 'bout to rock your world" Then God made girls Somebody's gotta wear old ripped-up jeans Somebody's gotta be both heard and seen Somebody's gotta whip 'em into shape So God made girls

+Douglas Carver Jr. I think the person was just a little repulsed that they "love" the song even though it's incredibly sexist. Not to mention do you even notice how they ripped off "the climb" by Miley Cyrus? The song pretty much states girl are here to "wear a pretty skirt" and flirt. Why don't they just add making sandwiches for men? Just throw a little more sexism in there.

This song isn't about being subservient to men. It's about yin and yang. Femininity complementing masculinity and finding power in being feminine. And it shows how we, as women, have things about us that are yang as well. Just as an example... "He needed something soft and loud, and sweet and proud, but tough enough to break a heart...[...] Someone hard to handle, something fragile to hold him when he hurts..."

I actually hate wearing skirts or dresses, I won't be caught dead in a tight dress with heels, doing my hair fancy is pointless, I'd much rather wear it in a ponytail, and what's the point of putting colored chemicals on my nails? Makeup? I like to use my natural, God-given beauty more than chemical beauty. Call me a Boi if you want, that's pretty much what I am.

stilababe I am the same way, I'm a tomboy but I'm still a woman. I hate songs like this that make it seem that to you HAVE to like girly things and be "soft" both physically and emotionally to be considered an attractive woman. I can be feminine without being frilly or "soft". This song annoys me.
