@@opsblock Hello. Tell me, how easy is it to get onto the old airfield with the disused wartime buildings? I am hoping to get there very soon in the next few weeks. And also, I am currently without personal transport, is there a bus service that goes through to Boyndie itself?

Found this after visiting the airfield today. My father was part of 248 Squadron flying mosquitos from Boyndie in the closing stages of WW2. Good to have some record of these places.

Bouncing Bertie, interested to hear of your fathers part in flying operations from Banff with 248 sqdn. I'm always grateful to pick up new stories, copies of log book entries, photos etc. Be interested in hearing from you if you could be of assistance in helping preserve the memories of those who served there. The round bunk houses were are they at the airfield ?

Kev, if you point out the time the buildings appear in the video I'll have a better idea of which ones you're referring to and then be able to tell you where they are. Hope this helps.
