Asha Bhonsle needs to hear this. She said that Rafi Sahib doesn’t improvise. Rafi Sahib improvises more than anyone but on his private concerts. Rafi Sahib sings what the producer wants him to sing and is getting paid to do what they want. Others try to improvise because they are unable to sing in the composers tone which could be in high pitch.

Hello Rizwanji. So excited to hear Usha Timothy speaking about Rafiji, who I told you I met in a train at Bhusawal station in India. Can’t wait for the whole show. I had the pleasure of meeting Usha Timothy too at a function in Bhusawal that was held at the Railway Institute during a Ganpati function. This was years ago. Ushaji came along with Manna Deyji to do a singing performance. She has a lot of fans and must have forgotten but I haven’t.. I consider myself very lucky. I also met Subir Sen and Van Shipley and a tabla player Raj during these shows that was held during Ganpati festivals. Being a music lover I always found a way to meet these performers. My Dad was an important person in the Railways so I had the extra privilege to go and meet them while they were waiting to go on for their performance. Those were days I will never forget. Still a lover of Hindi music. Thanks for bringing back beautiful memories. ❤️🤗🙏🏼

I celebrated all the festivals with my friends and had a wonderful time. I am still in touch with many of them. Are you still in India? I live in Australia now. Been here for a very long time though I go back to India to Bhusawal, Bombay etc. where I still have family and friends.
