Tornado GR4 my fave Aircraft. Loved living at RAF Leeming. Used to sit on a small brown gate half way down the run way and just watching them taking off. I would spend hours watching.

As easily as an F-16 can do pretty much short runway landings, I find it strange that a pilot has to use a parachute on an F-16 in this case. The F-16, 15 and 22 can do a "wheelie" with all flaps out and slow down easily.

Thanks Wesley mccurtain, If think it's a case of wanting to show off everything that the F-16 has, if it was a normal exercise sortie he would not bother but an Airshow is different. Thanks for the comments and keep enjoying the vids

Airshow World hehehehe. It would probably explain the air controllers comment about not releasing the chute! I know having dealt with F-4s that you have to have an entire section of specialists who deal with the drag chutes these jets use to slow down on truly short runways. Pain in the butt. :)
