A new generation of tennis rackets measure every stroke and tell you how well you play. Rafael Nadal is amongst the stars to use the new technology.

I doubt that will actually do anything to the player. At worst, the chip will just stop functioning correctly, and the racket goes back to being a normal racket.

Babolat are the best racquet makers in the world. And the best string manufacturers in the world
@juanchoja8 жыл бұрын
+TheStrictlyAwesome Speak for yourself, this is a very bias claim. There is no such thing as the best racket in the world, is what best suits you. Fact, the racket with most grand slam titles is the Wilson Pro Staff, which is Federerl's Racket, and Djokovic' racket is the Head Graphene Speed Pro, Murray's racket, Head Radical. William sister's racket, Wilson Blade 104. Sharapova's racket, Head Graphene Instinct MP. Nadal is at 5th ranking and he uses Babolat, the top 4 don't.
@TheStrictlyAwesome8 жыл бұрын
+juanchoja im talking from a consumer point of view not a pro, babolat make competitively priced rackets which are better than most. I have a babolat aeropro drive with babolat rpm blast strings and it is soo nice compared to every other racket i have used its just my opinion.

@Nurg19827 жыл бұрын
haha, from a consumer point of view.... Babolats are relatively stiff baseline hitting racquets. If you want more control at the net, you go Wilson, Yonex or Head. As Juan said, your view is biased, even from a consumer point of view. If they are the best racquets in the world, why is Wilson still consistently no.1 in sales over decades of racquet manufacturing? It all depends on the player, amateur or pro, to what they like and what type of game they play.

I know I am Rafa when I pick up a Babolat raquet though... I'm the only one. They gave me a prototype, in 1999 and didn't realize I was going back to America and they had to take it back from me. Like someone flew to California to retrieve it after the USTA asked what I was playing with. I am America's lost tennis talent... I'm 37, if anyone wants to sponsor me and give me surgeries... to win the French and US Open. I know Wimbledon makes Rolex a lot of money so I won't mess with that company.
@c.edwards18145 жыл бұрын
I'd love Babolat axes more if they had grips like Head. I still use Babolats, but I'm often lost on the grip; so I have to make sure I grab the throat before I hit.

i dont like this idea. i feel it is against the spirit of the game of tennis, which is still centred on tradition. there is no question that adding technology that allowed players to have three challenges against line calls was beneficial to the game, making it more fair, and it had zero negative effect, it didnt affect the flow of the game in play either, as there are twenty-thirty second gaps between each point anyway. but this data obsession i dont like it. tennis is a natural game. a game based on 'feel'. a player feels how they are hitting the ball. so i dont like this. i understand football is data analysis mad, but i want tennis to be spared. i already hate how commentators of tennis are become obsessed with data breakdowns on player stats. i dont want to see rafas percentage of second serve points won e.c.t. im watching the damn game. i dont want it turned into data.

Leftistism/Progressiveism is rooted in phasing out "tradition", in every aspect. Over time, human thought will become unsalvageable. Welcome to the ruling class.

A smart racquet would be one that tells her she is hitting those 164 forehands wrongly. The 164 number itself is not really very useful.
@thelolguy007 Жыл бұрын
So what happened? This video is now 7 years old and the technology hasn’t made its way to the ordinary player. Did it cost too much or what? Are the pro’s actually using it?

Something "good" is your opinion. My opinion is the opposite. Electronics and technology is, by far, the very best humans have done. Aids engineering, medical science, transport, processes and systems, knowledge, education, communication... the list goes on. But childish and immature people cannot appreciate it because they have no idea what is to live in the dark ages. Grow up.

I didn't see anywhere in the video that suggested the racket would do anything by itself. All it does it show you data. What you do with that data is entirely up to you
