Rafael Barajas is a Mexican revert who has been doing the work of inviting people to Islam in his homeland. Today, he is an outreach specialist working full time in the path of Allah, following the way of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah, giving dawah (inviting to Islam) across Mexico. He shares his stories with us and inspires us to put our best foot forward and join him on the lesser travelled path. One by one, we can all partake in the effort to help bring Islam into every home across the world.

As a Muslim with a Mexican mother and Moroccan father living in the US, this really touched my heart and made me proud of my heritage. The most people who convert here in the US are Mexicans and African Americans. Alhamdullilah, they always say that they feel so comfortable and love the deen. Not surprised because lots of them have ancestors who were Muslims.

Inspired by brother Rafael story. Many of us born muslim don't make a sincere effort to read up quran. We were usually asked upon when younger to complete it but once we khatam we rarely touch the quran. Your story inspired me to investigate/study islam much deeper. For example here in Singapore, we're of Safiee mazhab but generally we do not even bother to study more about him or even more about the concept of mazhab or fiqh.
