Unreal ball speed as we can see from this view, and this is just practicing
@bobbyearles42305 жыл бұрын
I have never quite understood Rafa's mechanics. Watching from the side does help a little bit. On TV, it looks like he is pulling off the ball a lot, but from the side angle here, you can see how much he's driving through it. And while that should be obvious from any angle--because of how hard the ball rockets off his racquet--it's still kind of hard to understand what's going on, largely because the racquet head is moving so fast. He is a one of a kind, once in a lifetime player. Thanks for this great footage.

@veetour5 жыл бұрын
Not bad. Could use a bit more spin on his forehand.
@markurbancowboy5 жыл бұрын
It's hardcourt so he puts less spin on it than he does on clay. I like how he changes things up for the type courts he's playing on. Also, noticed how he puts less spin these days than he did in the past to shorten points and not grind out sets like he did when he was younger. Age catches up with everyone.

I find it strange how he doesn't hit like this in matches, he hardly ever finishes his forehand over his shoulder in matchplay, always the loop shot up the back of the ball. Great angle there, love watching tennis like this. 👍🏻

Peter Haeggström-Official im just taking a guess here but I think its because when he hits with topspin its easier to keep the ball in play compared to hitting flatter, kinda like Rublev plays
