His analysis is always so interesting to listen to! He’s so down to earth. Poor Rafa, it’s been a tough start of the year. Let’s all appreciate every match he plays, because he puts so much of himself into every one, and we never know when he’ll decide to stop playing.

31 winners by Thiem and only 23 unforced errors. Rafa himself didin’t do many unforced errors either only 23 unforced errors (exactly like Thiem) but Thiem did 10 more winners then Rafa (the Spaniard did 21 winners) all in all Rafa did actually not a bad match. But Thiem is an offensiv rocket and ultra aggressive and when Thiem is on fire (like he clearly was in this match against Rafa) then nobody beats him on clay absolutely nobody not even the king of clay Nadal, and this semifinal match was a prove too exactly that. All respect too Nadal who is without any shadow of a doubt the greatest clay court player of all time, but when Thiem is hitting this brutally hard with a lot of winners and a few unforced errors then nobody can beat Thiem he is unstoppable, as simple as that. Some words about the final between Medvedev and Thiem. The Russian had a great start with a 3-0 lead but after that it was dominator show and only one player (Thiem) against one goal. And here are the words (from his final opponent) so you guys can realise and understand what I’m talkning about. ’’I tried my best, but Dominic was too good,” said Medvedev. “At one point today, even just getting a point off him was a great achievement.” This words from Medvedev really says it all about Domenic’s outrageous level here in Barcelona, where the hard hitting Austrian won the tournament without dropping a set. Let’s see if he can keep this high level up throughout the whole clay court season as well, and especially in French Open when it matters the most on clay. Because Thiem’s biggest weakness (in my opinion) is his consistency level and not the potential and talent. Because the enormous potential and talent has always been there but not the consistency level all the times unfortunately. And last but definitely not least, here is my video on my take on after Thiem winning Barcelona watch and enjoy peace😎 kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4ick3t-nZ2mpbc

@@marijabrkic6071 Nole and Roger won on all surfaces, too. What Rafa did wrong is body management. In my opinion, and I sadly say this, he will be the first of the three to quit tennis, because of this particular reason. His body is obsolete and his knees in the first place. On the other hand, service and volley is spectacular too, look at Pete Sampras, or Roger Federer, they had (and Roger still do) great result, too. And there is a pay back in terms of body management. I believe that if Rafa wants to keep longer his career at a high level, he needs to change the style immediately. To become more focused on shorter rallies. Fortunately for him, he has good qualities in playing at the net. he is one of the most efficient players there, too. Otherwise, within one year he's history. A great one, but still history.

@@adriantroickic8477 Just watch and see. If Roger retires, it will be for personal reasons, not because he wouldn't be able to play at a high level anymore. Rafa is on the limit with his knees and health in general. Of course he's a fighter, maybe the best fighter in the history of tennis, but without weapons (not technical but physical) he will not make it. As I said, his only chance is to rapidly, completely change his style in order to shorten the rallies and create opportunities to come to the net where he is one of the best in terms of efficiency. Hope Carlos Moya knows this, too. Otherwise, within an year, he's history.

There are lots of journalists who show a lack respect towards Nadal, unlike the manner in which they venerate Federer and Djokovic. They continually pick on Nadal (like a bully in the classroom), in articles they write about him. And not only do I find that unfair, but these journalists lack professionalism as well. In addition to being one of the greats in his sport, Nadal is also a very humble and great person (both on and off the court). He is always gracious in defeat, as we witnessed yet again after he lost to Fognini. He does not smash his racket when he is being outplayed by his opponent. Yet, the media make all sorts of negative comments about Nadal. On the other hand, they make all sorts of silly excuses for Djokovic when he is defeated. And even when he smashes his racket, do they make excuses for him, rather than condemning that bad conduct. That is such a shame, from people you would think know better. And how do they expect kids/students to conduct themselves any differently in the classroom?

It's hilarious how easy it is to some losers to criticize Rafa when he loses, you also fail to realize that most of what he's accomplished throughout his amazing career since he was 19 has been through injuries. His legendary mental strength keeps him going, even if health issues are currently hindering his efforts he's still one of the greatest competitors in the sport. Now imagine if you can if there wasn't any injuries in the equation, pretty sure you wouldn't spend so much time trying to bash him every chance you get while wallowing in mediocrity.

Nadal did not talk about great match of Fognini, just one word at the beginning of press conference. Probably he does not like Fognini as a man, i mean Nadal doesnt have a good opinion about Fognini's general behaviour during playing. For example when towell falls down because of wind Nadal is already going to get the point as his short ball becomes probably unplayble with the wind, Fognini doesnt even try to go and stops playing saying that the towell falling on ground disturbed him. I personally didn't like Fognini's behaviour in that moment. Greetings from Rome Italy

Who is more likely to win than a player who has 92% winning rate on the surface (including an 86-2 record at the tournament in question)? Secondly, this lost to Fognini does not mean anything. Why? Because Nadal also lost and match on clay in 2017 and 2018, but still went on to win the FO both year. Smh.
