They are probably most vulnerable on the ground since the very beginning. Especially today, with enemy missile velocities being potentially several times the speed of sound. Both Ukrainian and Israeli front-line aircraft were sitting ducks in recent times.

Airforces train to get all their planes in the air and runway/road hop as airfields are destroyed. This is what is what the Ukrainian airforce pilots are doing, and what they did at the start of the war. They literally have minutes to get their planes in the air when an Iskander missile launch, or enemy fighters are detected.

My opinion of the Rafale: If the Rafale was indeed such a super duper of a fighter jet *AS THE INDIANS SO BRAG OF IT* to the international community, then… Then the French definitely have NO NEED TO UPGRADE IT TO A MORE ADVANCED MODEL FOR THEIR OWN AIR FORCE* and… *THEY (French) DEFINITELY HAVE NO NEED TO PASS THE CODED ON TO THE INDIANS and lose their nitch! Besides, as a supposedly 4,5 generation fighter that claims to beat even the F-22 Raptor, maxing out at Mach 1.7 is hardly a game changing plus. In fact, it’s a liability. Look, if a Mirage 20000 and a MiG-21 can zip along at Mach 2.2, then no way birds that maxes out at Mach 1.7 or less can do the job!!! Other words: Rafale is still but of the LCA/Tejas/MiG-29 class… .

I also check the Google maps now there are hardened shelters but so less in number I think they will be enough for 1 squadron. Still something is off. For me if I have not seen it it's not there just like Russian forces our forces are also corrupt.
