Amazing! I normally find the mandolin too high pitched for a solo instrument but this playing made the instrument speak to me in the same way as a violin in which a dramatic rise in pitch in a mojor key brings a surge of joyful emotion especially as more hamony is possible on the manolin than the violin. Of course the two instruments normally even share the same tuning of gdae.
