Not to take anything from uploader (thanks!) but Hans Stuck was the father of "Der Strietzel". Hans Stuck, in his time, almost a century ago, being just as much a real legend as much as his son Stietzel was in his time. The latter of which I as a teen and young man in the 80ies and early 90ies enjoyed so much. And 12 years ago even got eye contact with (big thing even for a grown up man). Still don't get it? Hans Stuck = Legendary Grand Prix race driver of the 1930s, driving the Auto Union Typ' C and Typ' D monsters and post war famous sports car series, etc. Hans-JOACHIM Stuck: The race driver concerned in this vid. I think Der Strietzel needs no further intro.

Amazing. There was no youtube, no clout chasing. Just a man a car and a camera. I can only imagine what a beautiful clear day this was in Germany to go out and do this. The atmosphere. @@raffriff42 how is he shifting up with no cluth engaged 😍 ?
@raffriff423 жыл бұрын
@@tylercouture216 In some cars (and all race cars) with manual transmissions, you can move the shift lever without the clutch by releasing the throttle momentarily, moving the lever to the neutral position, and waiting for the exact moment the engine speed matches the gearbox speed before moving into the next gear. This saves wear and tear on the clutch. I attended a driving school (Jim Russell) and we were taught to shift that way. In _this_ car you don't need to lift the throttle; the ignition cuts out with perfect timing so you can just 'slam' it into the next gear. That's the 'quick shift' Mr. Stuck was talking about @ 2:55

Hans has the charisma that makes this entertaining as much as it is thrilling. He's a literal legend in racing, and cars as well.

This race car really is the pre-cursor of E92 M3 road car. That V8 engine is still an absolute masterpiece. ❤️❤️

10:30 that was mind bending to see. It was so raw of a lap just completely on it and in control even with the little bits of oversteer. Must have raced this track a billion times on my PS2 before it took a poop on me. Great stuff, Hans Stuck is always gonna be the Audi IMSA GTO guy in my mind and here he's throwing an M3 GTR around the Nurburgring. So cool
