We all love crocodiles. At least, from a distance we do. Because the last thing you want to do is get too close to one of these huge reptiles, who are known throughout the world for their incredible strength and power, as well as a large number of very sharp teeth. These are some of the greatest predators of all time, and they have more or less been around since the dinosaurs were here. Which goes to show just how successful they are, and how easily they can adapt. As long as there’s a murky pool and some other thirsty animals around, then crocodiles will always have enough to eat. And they love to eat - some of them more than others it seems, and these crocs have grown to huge sizes. From the saltwater giant to the Sri Lankan croc who got himself stuck because of his size, here’s 15 Abnormally Large Crocodiles That Actually Exist!

They killed Lolong by constantly draining his little pond so people could see him. They have to have water to float in to take there immense weight off there organs. Damn shame because he was so young. Another 50 years who knows how big he could have grown. 20ft 3 inches. Smh!!!

When they set traps for Lolong the traps were destroyed and the baits were eaten. They kept going with the same traps until they cought Lolong. One of the fishermans said this wasn't the croc that made the crimes. It was too small. Then another fisherman described the head of the crocodile that attacked his boat and it was twice as big as Lolong's head. Then another man that had lost a caw said there where two big crocodiles in the area. One is around 6 -7 m (Lolong) and the other - 12 m. It makes perfect sense since all the traps were destroyed at the beginning. The steel noose was ripped 3 times in a row and the bait was gone. The possibility they cought the weaker crocodile that wasn't able to get out of the trap is real. No wonder he was innocent as his stomach has confirmed.

Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time. Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them). Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI). Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy. Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful. Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI). Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad). Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning! Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures. Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement. It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them. (19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).. @@islamisthetruewaytogod6812 7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved.[a] They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. I'm a Filipino. We'd say here that every country has an abundance of something. The US has raccoons. Japan's got crows. Philippines? has crocodiles. Lots and lots and lots of crocodiles. Big ones too. You'll see them everywhere from the northern islands to the southern ones, in lakes, rivers, swamps and beaches. Such is their prevalence, you'll even see some in your local community, riding fancy cars, avoiding the poor and swimming in the national treasury.

Fact is, they get increasingly rare in most places in the Philippines. I have travelled many islands in the Philippines for over 35 years. And I am actually travelled many very remote areas. I have never seen a croc in the wild. It is amazing though how well those beast can hide! I was passing a tiny river in Palawan many times. And I heard and seen proof that there are saltwater crocs. This river is less that 12 feet wide in many places. Knowing how dangerous those beasts are I am not eager to encounter them: I spend day after day snorchelling and diving in the sea. Certain regions in Mindanao seeem to have quite a big population of saltwater crocs. And some of those beasts are in fact enormous. On the other hand the harmless and small Philippine crocodile is extremely rare. I visited a place in Dumaguete were they are breeding them.

@@beatglauser9444 I appreciate the detailed response and exploration of knowledge as well as the adventures you've had. However, I must ask; are you Filipino? Because I was making a joke. Crocodile is just a term of endearment we Filipinos use for politicians. Hence, you'll find crocs swimming in the national treasury. As for real crocodiles, yes. They are quite difficult to find in the wild. The thick marshlands and jungles of the Philippines are nothing like the vast openness of the Nile River. These creatures have a lot more nooks and crannies to hide in here.

Fun fact crocodiles can adapt to being pure land animals there were a few species of land crocs in the prehistoric era
@joost1120
@joost1120 3 жыл бұрын
Not really. That's like saying wolves can adapt to being pure aquatic animals just because whales made the same transition. It'll take millions of years to evolve, and that's not really adapting. The crocodilians that roamed the lands were specifically evolved to do so, and they were very distinct from the crocodiles we know. Land crocodilians were around during very unstable times, they would have a really hard time transitioning to land animals in our current times.

@islamisthetruewaytogod6812
@islamisthetruewaytogod6812 Жыл бұрын
Salam (Peace) -------------------------

2004 I visited Davao City in the Philippines. While there I went to a crocodile park and saw a HUGE croc. I swear that thing was at least 19 feet, if not 25. I got a photo, but nothing in the photo gives good size reference. The "zoo" I was at, had 4 ft high cinder block wall between me and the monster croc...that's it, for all the animals there. Big Crocs, tons of little crocs, Komodo dragons. Hell, I held hands with a monkey through a hole in her cage. If it was Davao Crocodile Park, (the only crocodile park near Davao City I could find online today) they have massively upgraded the place since I was there.

@Ryodraco
@Ryodraco 2 жыл бұрын
@@skycloud4802 indeed, they have a definite age limit, and the size they reach has a lot more to do with genetics and food supply than it does age. You are correct that they cease to replace lost teeth when old, though this also corresponds with them reaching the end of their lifespan, meaning they still die of old age even in captivity with a reliable food supply. Them being ageless, having limitless growth, etc. Is one of those myths that gets repeated so much that sometimes even otherwise accurate sources end up referencing it.

The record for the strongest bite force ever recorded, before the the 17 foot long Saltwater crocodile. That record was from a 13ft wild alligator and it read 2,980 foot puonds per square inch. Imagine if they could have gotten a reading from some of the 17 and 19 foot gators. The Saltwater crocodile that has the new record, he was 17ft long and it measured in at 3,700psi. Thats a huge number. The only reason that I am saying this. It is believed by a lot of people that the Nile Crocodile has the strongest bite force on the planet. But until someone can catch one of them bad boys, we can only speculate who is the true king of biting......

Saltwater crocodiles or Nile crocodiles bite force has been recorded by means of a bite meter. The crocodiles are coaxed into biting on the meter so that's how they have measured the bite force of 3,700 PSI for a saltwater crocodile which is even a greater bite force than a great white shark which is only 625 PSI.

Gustave is actually actually real he ate the bodies of people who died during a civil war and were dumbed the river and has a body count of 300 or more there’s even documentation of gustave where a crew tried to capture him. And there’s a movie called primeval based off him during the making of the movie was uneasy knowing that he was real

I went to a croc farm in southern India 20 years ago. There was a small fenced in pond with muddy slopes edges around it and a sign that said worlds largest crocodile. I paid the guy that worked there equal to 10 cents American to get it to come out of the water. He went in with a long stick and started poking at it underwater. It must have got mad because it went after the guy and chased him back up the slope like it was going to eat him. We got to see it come completely out of the water. It was well over 20 ft by my estimate. Best 10 cents I’ve ever spent
