Is it possible to repair the rafter tails from the bottom of the house? Like without having to tear open the roof and do it from the top? My wood is rotted but my roof and pressed wood on the roof is good.

Great informative video. Used "boracare" to pretreat wood for termites. Same company that makes termadore. Just have to wait 3 days before painting the wood. Bet the homeowners were pleased with your work!

I have the same issue where the rot goes almost all the way up to the stucco and I was wondering if you had to change the whole rafter board but seeing as how you could just sister with another to wait for our 2 x 6 and just cut out of slot with a rafter is that in the stucco seems easier and more sense

Good video but how many nails went between the boards because the roof wasn't sheathed with plywood? How do you know when you covered the roof with peel and stick and then used an air gun to shingle? Here in BC Canada we always sheet use 3/8" plywood over all ship lap roofs to ensure adequate backing for the roofing nails.

Yes, the interior length should double the exterior length from what I've heard.

4x6 usually have to be replaced from the top of the ridge since they are cosmetic and support the 2x6 planks.
