Can't believe how scary that rafting sounded. I've never done it but I need to try it, everyone says it's almost like a near death experience. San Gil looks so beautiful. I'd love having that hostel to myself.

It can go so bad. I did it years ago and one of the boats (not mine) flipped over on top of the rafters. It trapped a couple of them for a little bit. Really traumatic. Luckily no one was seriously hurt. But it could have been really bad. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

Colombia has most of the rain of any country in the world so when it rains the water gets brown from all the earth that mixes with the clear water. This happed to us in Costa Rica waterfalls were brown after the rain.

Hi Christine, this is Nic and I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your GoPro 8. Actually, the exact same thing happened to me last month, when I was diving in Cancun (MUSA)! The waves got a little too strong, and my Go Pro 8 was swept away. Needless to say, I couldn't find it back. I understand how you are feeling, but most importantly, you are safe and sound now. Amazed by how positive you stayed despite the loss - you are such an inspiration to look up to! Stay strong and let's hope our travel insurances help us out with this :D

the thing is Colombia is not very touristy, the tourism in Colombia is very new for obvious reasons, in 2006 we saw just the foreign people on TV, now is increasing a little bit. the people still think that Colombia is Very dangerous that´s right.

Hey. I'll be heading to San Gil in November. I tried to find the location for Exploradores Colombia but it keeps showing me a location outside of the city. Is it named something else on Google Maps? Was it arranged by your hostel or did you just walk around and find it yourself? There are tons of companies so not sure which one to go with. Do you think it's cheaper if I just pick one when I'm there?

I've been rafting twice and loved it 😍 the instructor taught us how to pick someone up properly if they fell off the raft, and would push us off on purpose so we could practice 😂 I also got my foot suck between some rocks and almost got stranded cause the people on my raft started going ahead without me 😂 but it's so fun I would do it again a million times

I have gone rafting in North Carolina in the US several times and our raft has flipped a couple of times. People have fallen off. I know it’s dangerous but that’s part of the adventure. Also in Costa Rica. Lol. You seem to be very critical of Colombia. WhT do you expect after all its call a third world country. The vehicles are too loud, the food is too expensive. My god you are paying so little. I have watched numerous videos of Colombia and I don’t know why your comments are so snobbish to me. I do like your videos have only seen the Colombia ones because I am going there with my daughter and I do admire how you make friends with everyone at the hostels.
