This was filmed in feb 2023. Not normally the time of year associated with fishing big streamers but they were still keen on them.

Look, I'm a kayaker, so I won't be stealing any fishing spots from you, but wondering which stretch of the river this is ? Even though I live in South Aus, grew up in Vic fishing the river in the 70's, I simply luuuuv the Goulburn ! . . . an enjoyable watch thanks, - but where ?

Thanks mate, this is directly below eildon pondage. The two main rapids in this video are in behind blue gums caravan park if you do want to kayak them

Ahhhh, that explains it Hawksey, I have paddled from blue gums down to Shep once before, and in between a few times, but I couldn't place that stretch. BECAUSE I launched from Blue gums, and yes I did that rapid but it must have been at the very end of the vid which I didn't watch [ hey, I'm not a fisherman remember ! ] The river was a bit low if you were doing this in the cooler months ?
