He is the original artist for the song. You probably remember when Diana Ankudinova covered the song when she was just 15. Awesome song

You should check out his songs "Skin" , As You Are, Anywhere Away from Here (w/Pink) and Be the Man. I can't believe you haven't heard this song before, it has been used in TV commercials, TV shows, music streaming services etc. :)

Rag'N'Bone man does many songs that have lyrics, that cover topics that we don't often hear in most popular songs. I'll also recommend "Skin". Try to find the live version, it's great.

Try his "Giant", written with his dad in mind when he used to sit on his dad's shoulders. A very softly spoken gentle sounding genuine man when interviewed. Nana Karen UK

I'm surprised you'd never heard this one, D, it was in full rotation on top 40 a few years back. I want to say 2018 or 2019, somewhere in there. It was a bop then and it still is now!

His name "Rag 'n' Bone Man" comes from the job that died out in the second half of the twentieth century of being a "rag and bone man". They were people who would collect unwanted junk from people's houses and sell it on I remember we had a man with a horse and cart who did this work in my early childhood in the 1960s in West Yorkshire, England and one of the nearby towns was a town that specialised in making "shoddy" "Shoddy" was cloth woven from recovered fabric and was cheap hence the word becoming an adjective for poor quality.

We used to get them still as a kid maybe into the early 80s( North-west England)then they sort of morphed into scrap men I think

Hey D - I know this song and artist, glad someone suggested it to you. I'd like to suggest another artist / song for you to review. He is different yet similar in terms of a powerful presence and message: Brother Ali - 'Uncle Sam Goddamn" (official video). The title, intro and outro are all nods to Nina Simone's civil rights protest song "Mississippi Goddam", released in 1964. It's rough going, but pretty amazing. I truly hope you'll get it on your channel, sooner than later. I think you'll have another "wow" moment.
