When I was struggling with depression and loneliness it's these two artists and the Peeloo raag that used revive me again and again, morning, noon, evening and night. Indeed after 7 months I was healed and walking. That was 1978-79.

A one and a half hour concert featuring this raga played by Ravi's daughter Anoushka and Patricia Kopatchinskajais can be found here on KZbin. It is sheer magic.

I've watched the video performance more times than I care to remember. How I wish that the two of them would record an East West album. I have had the good fortune to see PatKop in concert. Just like Anoushka she is a force of nature.

Sublime beyond description; almost intolerably beautiful. This work in particular sits on the same shelf with the eternal masterworks of the entire 20th. c.: as daring as Stravinsky's Sacre du Printemps and as profound as Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra.

This is excellent and nice music. I really love the harmony and melody. It's very relaxing and give a sense of tranquility to the soul. It's also very mind refreshing and calls for a soothing drink while listening with your feet up and mind at ease, one of my most favorite relaxing position. I like the quality of stimulating taste in the tune. This is great background music also for practicing meditation and tai chi. The rhythm is uplifting and relaxing at the same time. One could even dance to this tune in a dazzling manner. This is awe-inspiring artistry. Blessings always!

@Arya_224553 жыл бұрын
@@rudy103069 What I meant was Gandharv is the appropriate indian word which is used in our ancient Indian Hindu scriptures like what the other Abrahamic faiths call like Angeles because there is a lot of difference between an Angel and a Gandharv. Gandharva's are the person who are singers and musicians in the materialistic heavens for the Demi god's because according to our relegion there are many different types of heavens ranging from the higher spiritual heaven where a soul attains liberation or moksha (Indian word for liberation) by freeing themselves from the cycle of birth and death by the almighty lord called as Paramatha ( Mahavishnu or Lord Krishna or lord Shiva) and materialistic heaven is the one where Demi god's reside where Gandharva's perform music and the heavenly nymphs called as "Aparas" dance.Th Indian culture, Classical music & dance and Indian Arts all these are originated from the materialistic heaven . The Indian spiritual process , worship, Prayer,Higher order thinking and the inventions like yoga (which is for engineering of mind and body) are practiced by great sages or by great men or women to attain the spiritual Heaven and to immerse into the omnipotent almighty.
