Pandit Bhimsen Joshi is my all time favourite. I attended his concert in Sandur, Bellary Dr, Karnataka in 1974 and in Dharwar in 1983. This is one of my favourite ragaas.

ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਹਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਚ ਅਮੇਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਵੇ ਚਲੋ ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਚ ਮਿਹਰ ਸੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਚ ਮਹਿਰ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਚ ਮਿਹਰ ਸੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ ਭਗਤੀ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ ਹਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਰੂਚੀ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਹੀ ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸਗਾ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਉਹਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਵੇ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਦਾ ਵੇਲਾ ਔਰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਲਾਲ ਹਾਂਡਾ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਇਕ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਆ

Panditji's unparalled piece of masterly artistry. Only he would sing this raga to such an elaborate unfolding and captivate the audience with the raga mood. One and only Pandit Bhimsen Joshiji.
