it seems some contestants have easy test like dharini, where as others are subjected to so many interruptions. yes dharini is already well known and famous, and is probably weighing in the mind of judges. judging should be based on uniform testing. bringing ms. jayanthi instead of ms. sowmya has helped . ms. somya, was giving more importance to asking contestants meaning of the lyrics and alpa pranan / maha pranan was considered more important than singing itself. meaning of krithis in telugu are mostly not understood by people from other states and will be pronounced differently. that should not be used as a negative for the judging process. Bhart sundar is gem of a guy, and he brings much required balance and transparency in the judging process.

I really appreciate carnatic music even though i have only lived only in North India . However, i am dusappointed that the partipants, judges and hosts speak almost only english, not tamil. In a short sentence of 10 words, only 2 in tamil. One would think this us going in in Cleveland, US . Sad indeed. Maybe tamil conversation classes needed next.
