Wonderful... presentation. I had the great opportunity of singing this song ( the humming portion) a portion of it with the great PBS when we ( me my wife Rajeswari and daughter Srinidhi) gave a lift to PBS from MRC Nagar to Nageswara Rao park on a rainy day in 2011 . i was driving the car and he was seated next to me in the front seat . 10 minutes of bliss..After handing over to his son near Nagaswara Rao Park Mylapore he thanked me for the lift and I was moved and touched his feet and got the blessings. He said I am Srinivas and you are Girivas. Great moment and I was blessed .. One piece of lyrical beauty about this song. second charanam. intha pavaiyudan enthan Aavi varum. The story in a nutshell. Listening to the Orchestration of this song Closely, we shall say proudly Thamizh Film Music scaled new heights as far back as Early 1960's under the baton of Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy and No way lagged behind the much celebrated Hindi Film Music of that era; in fact, matched it easily and even surpassed it in terms of Modernity as we could notice it in many songs. Thanx to Mellisai MannargaL for their appetite for innovation and their penchant for deploying a variety of instruments to bring in fresh tones in our film music in that era. That simultaneous renditions of the Closing Pallavi by PBS and Janaki in contrasting scales vouch for the innovation by MSV-TKR. Nicely presented by QFR. Effortless singing by both the singers and easy reproduction of the original sounds by the Orchestration Team. Singers' choice of locations and Siva's Editing were eye-catching. Smt Subhashree seemed to be in a great mood today while giving that lively introduction that evoked irresistable, repeated Laughters. Curious to know which instrument Venkat played in his palms substituting the traditional Kottankuchi to produce that Horse-running sound. Good Show.

This is a typical O.P.. Nayyar style of composition. I thought the rhythm guitarist should have played the chords little more powerfully. Otherwise a good reproduction.

O.P. Nayyar churned out umpteen numbers involving horse shoe beats. Truly a great genius. I differ from the views of Vasudevan Sir that tamil songs of that era matched hindi songs. No, hindi songs were of different level on account of competition among class composers like Shankar Jaikishan, Naushad, Madanmohan, O.P. Nayyar, Ravi, Chitragupt, Roshan, C. Ramachandra, Vasanth Desai, Laxmikanth Pyarelal, Kalyanji Anandji, Khayyam and host of other composers like N. Dutta, Maestro S.D. Burman and his son etc., whereas tamil music was dominated by only two leading composers viz. MSV and KVM. Sorry, hindi music was way ahead.

@@suryanarayananv57 That's your view. I stand by my view. I never mentioned anything about O P Nayar. We have also seen a variety of beautiful songs in Tamil for horse riding beats. Acham enbadhu madamaiyadaa, Rajavin Parvai, Kadavul Oru NaaL ulagai KaaNaa, Kaadhal Rajiyam enadhu, then KVM's Sathiyame Latchiyamaai Kollaadaa. I hardly came across in Hindi Film Music Grandeurs and Versatility like KarNan, Puthiya Paravai, Vennira Aadai, Kadhalikka Neram illai, AAlayamani, Kaathirundha KanngaL, Anbe Vaa, Ooti varai Uravu, Nenjirukkum varai, Sivandha Munn AAyirathil Oruvan, PadagOtti, Chandrodhayam, etc (barring a very few exceptions like AAradhana). Certainly, we surpassed the much trumpeted Hindi Film Music in the 1960s in terms of Grandeurs & Versatility. It's a common knowledge that they could not match the songs of Nenjil Oar AAlayam, Kadhalikka Neram illai, Shanthi, AAlayamani and Paalum Pazhamum when these films were remade in Hindi. I stick to my view with a conviction.

Kudos to both the singers first! Both have been shot in the lush green and some நீர்நிலை background though sashwathi's bit blurry... அதுவே இருவரும் remote ஆக பாடாத ஒரு feel கிடைக்குது. Both their finesse is to be applauded... Clarity in diction, note completion and sangathi along with in between dynamics. First charanam குறிப்பா சொல்ல, சாஸ்வதி யின் "ஆயிரம் நினைவுக்கு அழகுண்டு" அதில் குட்டி சங்கதி ஒண்ணு... Super. Followed by RK bro "நீல பூவிழி மயிலுண்டு" so ecstatic. Light ஆ தாளம் போட்டும் போடாமலும் and இடது கால் தட்டியும் RK bro singing is blissful. He has been appreciated for his diction always and SJ equally those high ranges and all great singing. Until ஆஹா ஓஹோ in the end, the reprise was truly ஆஹா ஓஹோ only along with Mumbai Karthi s ' excellent playing, vintage vigneswar 's phenomenal accordion and Shyam bro 's skillful chords and programing... சாமி sir 🙏 சொல்லவே வேண்டாம்...
