The dead silence after that Calvinist joke 🤣 they weren't ready for Rich lol. Sheila is a lovely interviewer though

The first CCM concert I ever attended was Rich Mullins and the Ragamuffin Band playing at a little Baptist Church in Jacksonville FL in '87, just weeks after surrendering my heart to Jesus. I never heard of any Christian music artists other than Amy Grant before a friend got tickets and invited me to come. They came on stage in T-shirts, and raggedy jeans, a small sound and amp set-up, no flashy stage lighting - just the church's house lights - and there in that plain and simple church fellowship hall, in front of maybe 500 people (all standing shoulder to shoulder), these guys just knocked me out with their love for Jesus. I was hooked and I bought the cassette tape "Pictures In The Sky" at the merch table before leaving and wore that thing out in my car everywhere I drove. . . His songs are so real, and gutsy, and honest. Without knowing anything about his story I felt closely connected to his troubled soul, as he exposed it to us in his songs, in mt own search for peace and understanding in Christ. I can hardly believe it's almost thirty years since God called him home. Thanks, Rich and the Ragamuffins. God's peace be with you.

My daughter turned me on to Rich and Rich turned me on to Brennan Manning, and Brennan reintroduced me to God, and man what a love affair we have and are having.I now love because I am loved . Thank you God for loving me. A True Ragamuffin.

the irony of 2 of the greatest and most real American Gospel recording artists Rich Mullens and Keith Green died in crashes. their music lives on and touches millions of lives

A super profound statement that Rich Mullins said was in the Garden, God said to Adam and Eve: "You can know Me or you can know everything else. And man said , "We want to know everything else." Wow, something to think about....

Still using Rich's music to worship God and get past the barriers in my own mind and offer up my heart to the Lord "while the nations rage."

At the end of the interview she says “ well, it sounds like we only have about four more years of Rich’s music”. He went to Jesus 5 years later.

I miss him so much. Rich had such profound impact on my spiritual life - as a Jew because he is real. Rich’s songs are supernatural connection to HaShem and His likeness. The world and I miss ya bro.

I have the sincere pleasure of meeting Rich back in the later 80's while living in Hannibal, MO. He had such a sweet spirit. The song he sang "Step by Step" ALWAYS makes me tear up. His music is amazing. I miss him so much!!

It hurts my heart when I think about how he never got to get older and fatter and balder.

This is how he looked when I met him that day. But he was wearing green, blue and white shorts and wearing a white buttoned up short sleeved shirt with navy blue sleeves. His smile was unforgettable! :)

It is impossible to be a Christian outside of the context of the Church. Boy, do we need to hear that today.

It just occurred to me how much rich resembles and has the same vibe as evangelist, Todd White. I feel that had rich live longer. They both would’ve found each other and been great friends.
