Wow am I the only one that actually likes the routine and music? I can understand why people don't like it but there only saying all these things because this routine exceeds there comfort zone and the stuff they are conditioned to watch. I like the routine because she actually dancing in the choreo unlike the boring crap that the other gymnasts were doing. Flaring their arms and hoping it passes for dance. I like it because it's different and unlike the rest.

Max Renaud Max Renaud Why America? Wolf turns were literally an Australian thing for the last 3 quads. And back then the few Americans who did them were really good at them. (Biles, Baker, Finnegan, Locklear) and now USA still has some of the best ones. McCusker and Schennikova has some gorgeous wolf turns). It's people like Smith, Fraizer, Malabuyo, and Skinner who stand halfway up that ruin them. But still, Australia with the exception of Mitchell have the worse wolf turns by far.

the music... it's a mistake, like someone mixed 10 different genres of music in a blender. my guess is American judges will ignore how awful it is, international judges will not. her coach and choreographer should start all over again with ONE piece of music that doesn't sound like someone turning the radio dial from one disparate station to the next.

While I understand this connotation of the song being Confederate it was actually played by both the Union and Confederacy during the Civil Warand was written by a Northerner before the war started. I agree though at this time it should not be used but it is not just a Confederate song.

Pamela Meadows I think the Dixie song was originally an abolitionist song used in the north, and the south adopted it and changed the lyrics, its crazy how things end up.

Apparently they just didn't realise it. I'm not surprised, honestly -- people have been acting like it's inconceivable that they didn't know beforehand about the connotations of the music, but I've lived in Texas most of my life and I didn't know what it was until someone brought it up. But I think by tonight she'll have something else in there -- KZB and Texas Dreams are really overall good people even if they do make some mistakes like this.
