Learn Ragas is a musical insight into certain important and typical ragas of Carnatic Classical Music. Charulatha Mani, popular Carnatic Vocalist is acknowledged world over as an expert on Ragas. Miss Charulatha, your pioneering endeavour to teach music through You Tube is most admirable for music aspirants young and old alike. Your mellifluous voice coupled with subtle gamaka embellishment and copious theme variation is par excellent. The rendition of Saint Tyagaraja's "Manasuloni Marmamunu Thelusuko" and the masterpiece "Nagu Momu" in Raaga Abheri are beyond comparison. I have heard many variations of these two Kriti's by senior music exponents and I found your rendition infallible except the pronunciation of the word "Chanuvu" which ought to be "Tanuvu". Any way, that is not Ur fault. By the way, I started learning Carnatic music from Padmabhushan Mahamahopadyaya Dr. Nookala China Satyanarayana (late) at a late stage. I also admire Ur inimitable style of teaching music in the English language. When I started learning music, you were just eight years old like my grand daughter UPAASANA who appears as Chinni Krishna on my Face Book slot. My elder daughter Proyadarshini is an M.PHIL. in dance. Thank God if my comments reach you.
