What did I not love about this video... Nothing! Wow! Merlin really took to the dog and to see him lay down and show his belly! Amazing! I have read that Ragdolls like large dogs, but this one beat anything I have ever read or seen before! Thank you for this insight! Merlin is as gorgeous as ever!

What beautiful candid experience you've shared with us! It can so easily be triggered to go in the other direction, but you were great, and so were Merlin and the wonderfully gentle dog! Merlin reacted as I expected, and the dog was true to it's breed. Did you bid the dog to walk past Merlin, back & forth? Brilliant, it worked. And in the end, success as is indicated by Merlin stretching out in front of the dog. Loved it! Well done!

thank you! yes sometimes it really can go wrong..Maybe their character aren't the only factors that matter...(are the humans calm as well, are they too hungry and impatient, is there too much noise outside, maybe a special smell can trigger something, I dont know...) but little Nerina was hissing very much at the beginning.....but now she tollerates her and even lets her smell her. And Merlin of course is laying next to her on his back, the HOLE TIME:) he may be in love... No I didn't bid her, she wouldn't listen to me anyway😅

We got our Raggie from the shelter, Old owner went to the nursing home.sad. I never knew what a Ragdoll was until our girl. I would get another one, in a heart beat. She is my best friend, she will not leave me alone the house ! p.s. All 15 pounds of her.

Merlin war ziemlich ruhig bei der ganzen Sache. Meine beiden würden da mehr aufgeregt sein. (Kennen allerdings auch viele Hunde, die unruhig sind, bellen, rumspringen usw....wir haben viele Hundebegegnungen auf unseren Gassigängen....ist allerdings nie was passiert, ich halte die Hunde auf Abstand.)

Ja das glaube ich, wenn sie viele vor allem unruhige Hunde kennen, ist das etwas schwieriger mit dem Vertrauen. Die scheinen halt so unberechenbar für die Katzen. Merlin (Nerina nur kurz) hatte den Vorteil, dass er mit einem kleinen, eher unruhigen Hund aufgewachsen ist, so bis er ca. 5 Monate alt war und dann kam er zu uns :)

The cats calm because the dogs calm. I've got 2 BMD and 3 cats. All get along just fine. The smallest cat (jack) tunes the dogs and any dog in his territory including one neighborhood pitbull he had trapped on the steps. Was pretty funny. Kinda felt sorry for the dog cause he's such a submissive creature. At the same time , jack will let the dog (Elii ) lick the top of his head with no backlash. Great animals.

When I watch dogs and cats interacting I enjoy listening to the sounds they make. The same is true for any animal footage I watch. I consider it a privilege to witness how they communicate. At this point as soon as I hear music I hit the dislike button and stop watching.

Honestly I get it, well not the thumb down part but that you prefer the real sounds...! ;) ...I only put on music when there is just too much personal talking/speaking of my friends and family. Unfortunately you ONLY hear them having a personal and vivid conversation and NO OTHER sounds anymore of our pets. I ask them to keep quiet but I can't expect them to not talk for two hours only so I can film a little for my small KZbin Channel... So I have to respect their privacy and won't put their personal conversation on the internet. But I still get your frustration. Sorry you feel that way and I still wish you a good day✌

I have a 5 year old ragdoll and I want to get another cat so badly but her previous owner told me that she would fight with her own kids so maybe another cat wouldn't be a good idea :( idk if I should just adopt another cat anyway and hope for the best
