Congratulations on the tutorial! Helped me a lot! Can I ask for more? It turns out that in my game the zombie loses limbs, and for this feature I use reset the local scale, and this way I am receiving a NaN quaternion message. Is there any way to get around this problem?

Question: Wouldn't using Additive Reference Pose in the Animation Import Settings remove the need for so much code regarding the alignment of the boneTransforms? I can't test it out right now, but my intuition says that it should work. I'll test it today in my own project.

One more amazing tutorial on this series. I have a question. This works as expected with every model I tested, except one I imported from Asset store, which has for some reason the hips bone rotated by 90 degrees on the Z axis, causing the hips.forward,y to be inaccurate many times. How would you solve something like this (not by changing the _isFacingUp check)?? I searched online but still don't have a clue and creating an empty parent gameObject with no rotation didn't work. Is this solved only with 3d modeling software or it can be fixed inside Unity? Thank you very much for everything!

I have similar problem - most of models from unity assets store are kind of "not compatible" with Ketra script - when resetting bones strange rotations/shifting happens.

Hi, you could try adding an empty child game object to the hips. Rotate this so it's facing forwards when the character is standing. Then use this rather than the hip bone when detecting the direction.

@@KetraGames Actually for me it looks that your script work 100% correctly with native Mixamo models. I uploaded my 'asset store model' to MIXAMO - then download it back + animations and resetting bones actually does random things with model - sometimes model is shifted on ground, sometimes rotated, sometimes is ok. I recorder film - first soldier is from asset store - and has random behaviour during resetting bones. On the other side Romero and Alien soldier are from Mixamo - they behave perfectly. @@KetraGames You are so right THANK YOU!!! For some reason I was stuck on the thought that I should get it from inside the avatar or the animator with something similar to _animator.GetBoneTransform(HumanBodyBones.Hips); and changing the structure or creating an empty parent for pivot messed up my animations. Now the check is correct! I still face some unwanted rotation though at the beginning of the animation sometimes, because the actual hips bone is rotated, but I'll figure it out!! Thank you once again very much for taking the time to reply! You are doing great work!!

Hi, do you mean how do you make it play in full screen? You need to click Maximize on play at the top right of the game view

for this there should be a ground check using a layer as ground, if it doesnt have collision with anyone then u can use the ragdoll till its being collided
