God, I don't know why but for some reason, Fjord has been giving off some major Himbo/Older Sibling vibes since his switch to worship of the Wildmother and getting closer to the 9, and this art style only enhances it.

I think it makes sense. When he met the group he was pretending to be someone else, even hiding his accent. He did it immitating his mentor and father figure, who in his eyes was probably charismatic and cool. Once he lets it all out and begins to trust them, he embraces his real self and stops acting detached and ruthless.

I watched this so long before I started watching Critical Role and before I knew like anything about the show either tbh, and when I did start watching it, when the gang got the Xorhaus and the tree, I suddenly remembered seeing this animatic because just, the imagery of this giant fuck off tree on top of their house stuck with me and I just kept every once in a while thinking about this video that I only half remembered seeing.
