The Inflation Calculator What cost $30,000 in 1955 would cost $290,446.71 in 2019. Also, if you were to buy exactly the same products in 2019 and 1955, they would cost you $30,000 and $3,176.45 respectively.

The Reno boys are my ancestor's. I had read most of the publications about them. I was very upset when I learned vigilanties had hung the boys with out a trial. When in all reality they were coehurshed by the Judge, PA, and the Sheriff of their town, not to mention Pinkerton and his croanies. If they only had gotten prison time the boys could have gotten out and been productive citizens. I want to kno if the sheriff, Judge and PA was ever charged. Thanks wildwesttoys1 for sharing. Question: How does one "cross the state line" from Indiana into...MISSOURI? That would be difficult to do, geographically speaking. I think the writers maybe should've looked at a map when writing the script. Also, Randolph Scott was getting a little long in the tooth to be playing romantic leads in 1955. Still, kind of a fun old movie dealing with historical figures who are a little less well known than the James gang or the Daltons.

Kaye NineTwo you're thinking about current state size and not before when it was just wilderness or a territory. Perhaps a history lesson will be helpful for you.
@kayeninetwo35857 жыл бұрын
No dice, "Griz" . The scroll at the beginning of the movie says, "THE YEAR 1866." But Indiana, and Illinois (which is the state you have to go through to travel from Indiana to Missouri) had statehood prior to 1820. Missouri had statehood just after 1820. That's well more than 40 years BEFORE this episode took place. No "territories" involved. Now who is it that needs the history lesson??
