Remembering how mesmerizing the second game was, it could never beat the first one on terms of memorability and the nostalgic stirr it gave you when you'd visit the locations once inhabited by actual people, visiting the abandoned hospital overtaken by fleshy goo, exploring the vast wasteland. I still wish they made the fiest one an open-world, because just remembering the mystic addiction I had to every aspect of this game made my childhood. Thank you for making this playthrough.

Man the whole play through was pain to watch. Emptying a clip into people and running out of ammo. Shooting the shotgun from a mile away. And not picking up crafting materials. And that's only my verdict after 50 minutes....

5:22:09 the guy unloads a full clip of sniper rounds without zooming. He'd have one shot that mutant but no instead his sniper (which was his only gun since he doesn't buy or picking up enough ammo) became his shotgun

This game is a mixed bag. It reminds of Quake 1 in a lot of ways: clever level design and fun shooting gameplay packed in a rushed generic brown "everything else". The shooting is great but the driving sucks. The graphics are great (for the time) but the texture loading/popping is awful. Some of the weapons are super creative (mind control bolts!) but the story is complete garbage (one of the most rushed and anticlimax final mission and ending ever).
