Some people skipped them entirely cause they didn't care about cc, but its a shame that people who like scourges were unable to core/buy the better store offers. IDC what they say plans changed. I suspect spider society was originally going the 2nd required team. Then they made spider society required for spotlight raids. They probably had to figure out a new required 2nd team for the legendary at that point.

Scourge required teams are never farmable for the 1st run of a legendary unlock. MoE wasn't farmable when Nova 1st came out, NA wasn't farmable for GGC 1st run.

23:56 im sorry to disappoint you, but the gm isn’t going to change this. I’m not sure if you will remember this, but we discussed this before kind of with the ggc trial requiring 2 teams for difficulty 8 and above. And they also made the difficulty jump from 8 to 9 really wonky, to try and stop min/maxers from doing d9 or d10. Basically, they tried really hard to pay gate ggc, and I’m guessing they feel they failed and players did too well taking the best rewards from too many krakens in the ggc trial. So, this is the next step. Scopely has abandoned using soft requirements like difficulty tuning to paywall the best rewards. They are no longer leaving anything to chance. These hard requirements pretty much guarantees other players won’t take the best rewards from whales any more. Also, there has been two trends this past year with the gm in charge. 1) Big spenders are getting more exclusivity not just in showcases and whalestones, but diamond auctions and ggc awakened abilities. 2) they have been making the power gap based on spending more defined. It’s one reason the pay track of the pass is so much better than the free track. They want to make spenders feel they are getting value for their money. They have also made other changes that have helped f2p more at the same time like farmability and more gold and raid teams having value in other game modes.

Just realised, remember how the GM said they want to 'reduce low quality screen time'? This is what they meant if you dont have the stars but do the levels and gear you get to walk though the lower tiers and if you do have the stars you get to walk through the higher tiers. We wanted to not have to manual play raids every day so they set the resistance so high the only way to auto incursions 2.3 is to have g19 and 2 diamond on all characters. If your not a spender you basically get shit all diamonds and regular dpcs. Ive got dark diamond credits pouring out my arse but dont have characters to put them on because i get about 500-600 dpc every 2 weeks

My favorite part of trials and scourges was leveraging the absolute shit out of my roster to get the absolute maximum score possible. This included multiple runs and resetting nodes ad nauseum. From the first look at this, it feels like I could potentially be gated out of that. Of course, this requires building basically 3 brand new teams right after I dumped literally all my gold finishing DD6. At least I have Skrull. I was SO close to taking Cabal into DD6 too but didn't because I was short a few uniques, when I turned 95. Sadly, I had them maybe a week later, but just wanted to get the run started. Maybe if scopely just gives me 100 million gold, we will call it even.

Players need to show they dont like what is happening. Since start of the year it has been constant miscomunication, fuck ups, unresolved issues and we just keep smiling. This happens as a result. They will keep trying to fuck us over more and more and we will keep quiet about it so they will just keep going further. Whole community, envoys and players voice movement finally need to show some unity and dont let Scopely get away with this and keep calling them out on this. Otherwise we will just keep living in a world where excuses will be thrown at us and there will be 0 accountability. For once it would be great to see everyone show their true colors when it comes to polarising decision as this instead of just trying to play it out so they wont get any heat.

26:49 it's not just about offers As a f2p I would put more resources into getting more shards from the events that rewarded cabal shards for example I went hard on OOT characters' events and slowed down on cabal because this team is required for a legendary and the other isn't SS need them so hard so I'm spending more cores on campaign energy for example for the peter b. Parker event and so on So it's not just about the offers it's about making people aware that you should focus on this or not This upcoming event they talked about that we also don't know anything about that will reward shards for the two teams, they better make it a great one and not crappy like iron patriot's orb (most people have him at 4)

Also, just putting out offers does not fix this Cabal not required/required fiasco. I just finished my first run of DD6 a couple days ago. I originally planned on taking Cabal, but Promethium in particular was taking forever. I spent a ton of resources to get 3 different global characters into DD6 because I was just short of mats. I figured, no big deal, these other characters are fine and good and useful in many game modes, so I will just take them. Meanwhile, a week later as I was doing the City section, I had everything I needed for Cabal. So if I really knew that Cabal was about to be required for literally everything, I would have waited that week. Also, I have been playing for just over 1 year. No new player in their right mind would spend resources on her. I think I have her at level 60 just in case I need her for her passive. And I don't even use her honestly. Unless they literally liter the skies with gold, it doesn't matter. The resources are spent.

the level requirement is rediculous! the old method limited the amount of unlocks through the leaderboard. now all it does is gate WHERE you are on the leaderboard

I am soo pissed off about this, and I hope they change it back, to the regular scourge and trials, lately they've been going heavy on paywalls and monetization, as they had like in the past, but now its different events like tower and trials which I felt were wins for the players, and the other half of what I enjoy and look forward to, they have now straight taken away. I have been playing now for 2 years, and started around when the orginally scourges, I remember it took 3-4 runs to 7* thoughs characters finally after a good year of playing I was at the end game, and had the ability to 7* star black cat GG, and nova on the first run, I just really think that it bullshit that their doing this

Great video. The main thing has been lost. When should everyone get toon first run? When it was gated before, spenders got big unlock while everyone else got it in 2nd run. This has always been the way. And 2nd run could remove star requirement. Maybe stop jumping the gun.

They became greedy with the paywall indeed behind Trials. Merc for Money being War team is fine as well but if they going to give us another war team the should at least update the war participation sheet and make it so we see total attacks/damage/wins/loses/boost all together near the very bottom of the page or top. we always have to manually count to wins and loses we get to see who going to win from a full clear or not etc. it be nice if Daily log in also gave players like 50 defense/attack boost as well. Hardly make 13-14 attacks and we at a point where we have lots of options to use in war. keep the game refreshing for everything. And what happened to the new mode coming that was PVE? Hyped for nothing and now it getting dust. Raids becoming stall too. Many 90% the final raid. I want to ask my leader if we can clean up any other FTS for other members soon this month but after awhile raids just becomes a chore again until we get something new. The new raids revealed last week was not a good direction though for the game imo.

This game is severely lacking in game play. So ofc scopley takes one of the only game modes that requires you to be strategic and actually invest some time into playing the game and destroys it, basically making it another gear/star check just like multiple other game modes. Smart move scoopley 🙄

Plus I don't see why they have to do loki and emma with cabal, Scopely is not gonna make money from these characters, they are getting money from selling cabal so why not just give us 2 good villains like kang, doom, vulture, archangel? or better yet just leave it like 3 cabal and any 2 villain??? this event is just a massive "f*** you" to the players. Changes are fine. The LAST SECOND CHANGES ARENT. Spending should always be a difference. Having a 10 day head start is not an advantage. If they didnt wait til last second i would care less. This communication issues is really bad. Loki and Emma required are kinda meh shoulve been non mythic controller support or protectors. The only way this game survives is if spenders stay or comeback.

I personally think very little has improved in the game and a lot of the initial changes to make people happy, more gold ect was a smokescreen. Economy is the same as always just looked for a short period better, events are in my opinion way more of a cashgrab. You still need to horde energy for events, so very little has improved.

The token system sounds like their way to dodge the shard system and prevent players from getting partial credit and saving up for unlocks/upgrades while doing lower difficulties. Hard gating star levels so that players can't work out a way around their checkpoints. Very player hostile. I'm convinced that Cabal was always the intended second team, someone (Archangel?) slipped up, and they just didn't want us to know yet at that time so that they could hit us with worse offers once the info came out. I don't like to see you furious like this, Dorky, but it's the proper response for someone who cares about the game. Get fucked Scopely.

Old method was better. You simply focused on 1 team which was farmable a couple of weeks before, and then be done. There were no difficulties to focus, no scourges to complicate things to just get a milestone, no additional gold spent. It was straight to what you needed.

They specifically said cabal would not be required for this legendary, but after they saw that a ton of players chose to somewhat skip cabal to spend on out of time and hold money and resources for the upcoming skill team, now they intentionally add cabal to the requirement to force spending on them. I am so tired of this money grab bullshit

It has always been pay to win unless you give your time and lots of time. Scopely is a business but shit like this continues to prove the points... Changes to new player accounts are not enough. Players movement is bullshit and there work with envoys is a joke. Seriously how bad is the game when the only mode is Crucible and Crucible only. every CC stream and video is like 95% CC all F'ing week. So between the lack of modes and the $$ fuck that 1,924 days as of today. Im out, dorky bring on more kingdom of Hearts :)
