That style was fresh as fuck, but disappeared by the late 90s and was replaced by the rap/rock hybrid style that was audibly different. But then that ended up with the nu-metal tag in the media even tho is was a different style. Either way Rage were definitely not part of that style. For the record I loved the first Korn and Coal Chamber albums, and also the first Limp Bizkit album, I think they all had a uniqueness, clear funk style and really detailed soundscapes, tons of interesting melodies and massive riffs and beats. But all different. I loved the guitar and bass tuning and the drumming. All those bands fell into making pretty boring music after that imo.
