@@bknighty28 uh what? Wym "he thinks he's hot shit". He literally degrades himself in almost every song. People don't resonate with an artist like nf for the super intricate wordplay. They do it for the messages. Hell, eminem was only in the middle. Does that mean that he's worse than everyone whose above him? No it doesn't because eminem may only use a certain amount of words but he's the GOAT because of how he uses them. I'd venture to say that it's the same with NF. Yeah, he has a low vocab count. However, almost every single line is meaningful and powerful. Also, just because he may sound like a certain artist doesn't mean he's trying to sound like him. IMO, he doesn't sound like russ at all but still. Plus, the article includes alot of words that aren't even technically words. So, people who just make up words or use a lot of filler bars with different words to make it sound good (both of which NF doesn't do) just get rocketed up.

I love the scene with him benching the balloons it's so symbolic, basically each balloons represent his insecurities/imperfections, he using them as a mask to cover up who he truly is and is afraid to let them go bc he would feel exposed, so he is forced upon holding these burdens by his side wherever he goes... now with this knowledge, the symbolism behind bench pressing them is allot easier to understand, the weight of the burdens is greater than any physical weight that you can put on the bar, so basically by benching them he is using his burdens to make him stronger by constantly lifting all of this weight... *my mind exploded*

Just my gut feeling. But i think "The Search" might be the first installment of a couple albums. And whether "Lost" is a song or album, it could be like a trilogy of albums. The search representing him starting off his journey, and "Lost" could be the album in the middle where he literally gets offtrack and 'Lost' in the bullshit of life, disrupting his Search for happiness, freedom etc. Just my opinion after watching the video.
