The music video takes place after the search, in which people with depression (black clothes and burdens) are letting go of their problems. Nf is starting to go to be free, but then realizes that he will have to feel. He begins to struggle to be free of burdens (the balloons), because he will feel pain. At the end he lets go of most of his burdens but not all of them

The symbolism in this one is powerful man, well heres my interpretation. As crypt said, black balloons and shirt are his depression and negativity. The white shirt people are everyone in society. The shirts represent their emotional state and how society views them or vice versa. The white shirt on everyone symbolises that evetyone depicts themselves on social media as this happy and extravagant person living a great life. Hence why the smiles are drawn on them, cause the smile and happiness are what you see but not really what you feel. The blacks shirts represent their innermost feelings. Now back to NF with the black colorings, the theme of the song is 'leave me alone' so you can visualise someone depressed and feeling anxiety from all these happy and amazing people surrounding him. He's always comparing and contrasting which is causing the depression. Well thanks for listening to my long as ramble, this may not be true but its as i said, my interpretation :)

New subscriber just started watching your NF reactions and love how much respect you show him, I can’t explain how incredible I think he is. He has conquered my top spot, Em is second for me now not because one is a better rapper because I think they are both brilliant, NF takes the crown for me because I have sat and listened to every album including his moments album and there are maybe 5 songs I would skip over, that’s incredible for 4 albums. NF has literally made me want to be a better person and for someone I have never met to have such an impact on me is absolutely incredible. Eminem is a lyrical genius and I think Em can’t be beat when it comes to being lyrical and metaphors and his Bars. They are both amazing and I wish they would have collaborated together. Either way I love them both and wish people would just appreciate them both instead of making it a competition or a feud. Anyway wanted to say love your reactions and I’m making my way through your videos at the moment, someone I would recommend if you haven’t already is Snow Tha Product, she’s so underrated and is in the same catalog with Nf and Em in my opinion.
