@@LordRazer3 I only dig straight down using at least 2x1 area to dig at, cuz 2 blocks is safe... gravel above a lava lake: imma end this whole hardcore player's world.

@@LordRazer3 Actually digging straight down has proven very useful, at least for me. Yes you rum the risk of falling into lava, but realistically majority of the time you'll either find a cave or just nothing. I understand the caution, but out of all the times I've dug straight down, I've only encountered lava about 2 or 3 times. And I've done that quite a bit. So yeah digging down is risky, but can be rewarded. I even found diamonds once from doing so! So what I'm trying to say is that digging straight down is really more usefull than not MOST of the time. It's just a risk if you're willing to take it
