My biggest issue with Warfarer is the fact that Rearmament should’ve been a core skill. It’s LITERALLY the core of being a warfarer and it is beyond stupid to have to take up a skill slot just to use warfarer at all.

If you add Mystic Archer to that setup you have a good ranged option that can target the weak spot from farther away and deal a ton of damage. No skill slot required.

if you arent using thief for traversal i would say this set up works better with magick archer instead of the knives. MA has that skill where you target a single point like 30 times in one shot so put that with augural flare and watch those health bars melt. especially if you aim for the face of anything lol

"but you only get three skills to pass around the different vocations! that sucks. plus a stat penalty!" like think some people. lets take, for example of weaker options becoming OP together, archer's rapid shot, warrior's charged slash and sorcerer's blizzard. individually, kinda weak honestly. but use rapid shot to snipe weakpoints from safe distance, as they fall down blizzard to freeze them in place for a bit while you wander over then slam your giant weapon into their face at your leisure. simples. just gotta think more about synergies.

I don't have the game yet, so my knowledge is limited, but that's the reason I'd use Warfarer. MA is my favorite vocation and MS looks like a ton of fun to play. I love the speed of the vocation, not to mention the weapons he uses. I immediately thought "oh it's a Jedi from KOTOR using a double bladed vibrosword" lol

@@godsplayingfield and let's say you want to be a support character , I forgot they the skills are called , but you could use the skill from the duo spear to give a shield, and a mage staff to buff the attack speed like there are a lot of combos you can do depending on what you want ylur pawns to do or party comp. Literally opens up so many possibilities! Just got to think a little..have fun. If game is to easy there mods in nexus that let mobs take less damage and you recieve more damage

If we're just talking 1-hit boss killers, then Martyr's Bolt from Magick Archer is the winner. Literally nukes anything. It's awful for any other type of content but it'll mow down a boss from a mile away before the boss even knows you're there.

one of the best parts of the Warfarer is the fact you can level up ALL of your unlocked vocations simultaneously. at a very reduced rate of course. but if you still want to level them all up but want to do so while still being a Mystic spearhand with all his abilities for example. you can!

Interesting, maybe you could also just not use Rearmament, put 4 skills of the same vocation and the weapon that goes with it, but still have access to all the armors of the game. Or have Rearmament but only swap between weapons of the same vocation that have different elemental affinities to be ready for anything.

@@bastet113 It depends on the vocation. If you compare warfarer to thief, warfarer loses 10 strength but gains 50 knockdown res. If you compare warfarer to warrior you lose a lot of stats that you should never warfarer a greatsword. -60 stength, - 20 defense, -350 knockdown res. It really just depends on the vocation. You can warfarer archer and thief and be fine but most of the others its a great loss.

Yes, you can swap between weapons of the same vocation. You can also swap weapons in combat from the inventory screen but it's a really clunky way to play.

I don't use formless feint cause it's too strong. But you can definitely spam dodge button and point backwards or to either side and avoid the damage of flames of the pyre 90% of the time.

Mage is a really easy add to most Warferer builds. You get Levitate and an AoE Heal for free without any investment into spells. Mystic Spearhand is also a great pick considering it has a really solid basic attack that you can spam, heavy attack with a ranged component, and a Stun that can be an AoE or a Teleport, again all for free without using any skills, and if you do use a skill, the mirror shield stays on after you swap classes which can be really busted. I also like using either Archer or Magick Archer in a build so that I can have a solid ranged option for when it comes to it. I will admit I haven't really touched sorcerer much but I might try out that spell but with the Duospear to capitalize on it instead since it still attacks pretty fast with their own spin move.

PS: Warfarer is actually a better Rogue/Archer if you wanna play any of those classes (also Fighter, but less max weight) as it has 50 more knockdown resistance for something like 10 less Strenght. Also, you can play both with the gear you want, which probably means higher defense. To use any other class, it falls behind in stats.

I've been running something similar to this already but using 3 things. Sorcerer, Magick Archer, Mystic Spearhand. Sorcerer for the Augural Flare and they innate skill Galvanize (to replenish stamina after spamming skills), Mystick Archer for Ricochet Hunter (which absolutely shreds in small spaces) and Sagittate Avalanche (for pure hard focus damage *that travels through terrain* ), and for Mystic Spearhand I simply use as a weapon to deal with targets who are resistant to magick and to trigger Augural Flare. Mystic Spearhand has a core ability where spamming the *light attack* button spins your dual spear *infinitely* so long as you keep spamming it *and it takes no stamina and has no downtime* . Meaning for Drakes that are on the ground I can simply Augural Flare, Rearmament 2 times while moving up, then spam light attack with the Dual Spear to stack Augural Flare. At a range I can simply stack with the Sorcerers Staff or Magick Archer's ranged options. However, I've noticed that in the time it takes you to cast Augural Flare, Rearmament and then start your next attack *at range* the Augural Flare will almost always disappear. It will only stay if one of your pawns has hit it, which increases its duration just enough that you can then stack it at a range with a ranged weapon that isnt the sorc staff.

i actually would recommend equipping 1 of each vocation, warfarer only counts the weight of your heaviest weapon and each one has there use in any battle, i use at least 3 to 4 per fight plus having the ability to heal while being a damage dealer is a great benefit

With running Thief I'm a fan of having a bow equipped (I haven't leveled Magick Archer yet) just so I have a convenient ranged option to shoot harpies out of the air. It's very convenient

I can highly recommend the Ensnare Skill from Thieve. Instantly brings down every flying Enemy to the Ground and also staggers Lizards f.e. the rocky ones your Weapons bounce off letting you Crit them.

I just use ma and sorc, frost hunter > flair > sagitate avalanche and you don't have to get in melee range. It's so much fun! I still use thief for the movement though, no skills. It's so nice being able to zoom around the map with step + attack

@@filon8893 you have to hit the flair with a few basic staff attacks or it just turns off, if you hit it with some basic attacks it extends the duration. Also make sure not to get too far away, as it seems like distance can make the skill turn off too! frost hunter usually keeps the skill on long enough for me though, so if you have a fully charged frost hunter on the same weak point it should work without needing basic attacks.

You can dash and slash with daggers without consuming stamina to free up that 3rd slot put on a skill for a bow use Medusa bow and get 3x experience for finishing blow kills with the bow if you don't actually nuke them into oblivion for anyone who is interested

you can actually use flare twice and then use the magick archers ice ability to hit both spots multiple times. You'll do almost triple the damage. I one shot every enemy in seconds lol

I just slot 4 skills. You already open the item menu constantly in combat. Swapping weapons in the equip menu isn't so bad. Bow, daggers, staff. All bases covered. Helmsplitter, and 3 magic or bow skills. You won't have to swap much. Bow for flying. Maybe mage for bosses.

Warfarer is also just like a better Trickster. I use a couple of Trickster Skills, and High Celerity from Mage, with Two Sorcs in my party and casting the Celerity buff on them for traversal of the map, I group all the enemies on my effigy and they just erase the encounter. I also like to grab the escort quest that the Elf Mystic Archer sometimes has, and then I just bring her (or other escort companions like the Sorcerer from Checkpoint) to have an additional party member, but the Mystic Archer lady is great, especially if you take her in a cave and she uses the bouncing lightning shot.

Having a archstave on hand is so useful because it lets you float and also lets you regen stamina. Get one with a glow and you got yourself a torch too. Mage staff health regen if you prefer that but honestly stamina is more important.

This build is great! I capped all base classes as well as warfarer and have been running warfarer exclusively to take advantage of the staff and daggers for the best mobility and climbing to collect the tokens. I’m at 197 seeker tokens now and as much as I want to go play what I’m hearing are the most fun classes in the game (MSH and MA) warfarer with this build is just so good for everything that it’s become hard to take it off!

I'm considering the 3rd slot as well. Keep thief and sorcerer as they are, but incorporate Erupting Shot from the archer. I'm curious about how that might enhance the playstyle. Your tactic works really well as a mage build base , im still leveling up my arisen as a sorcerer to get high magic damage but im 100% using your dagger/mine combo, as a sorcerer i use mine/lightning combos to destroy drakes and i know how potentially powerful your combo is, on addition im gonna use the magic bow as my 3rd weapon, that way i have the perfect battlemage , starting the fight with the bow ans switching to the staff to cast the mine then switch to the daggers, you deffinetly found a great synergy formula

My new style is hitting an enemy weakpoint with Frosthunt Arrow and then hitting thay spot with a Spellhold Flare before going back to bow and throwing out more Frosthunt arrows. Bring and archer pawn with you and everything that isnt a golem is near instantly dead.

if it was like that you wouldn't need to be any other class at all really 9unless u wanted Meister skills) - just load up on all weapons and you are every class minus one skill, be pretty broken. i was thinking you can equip 4 skills but you'd automatically change to that weapon once using that skill related to it and stay that until you used another skill - makes more sense that wasting a skill on renaurment and give you the slight power boost that isn't broken and would be smoother gameplay imo.

Yeah no i can see the possibility of the ultimate combo being sorcerer, thief, and mystic spear hand, at least for me. You augural flame, skull split, and then having the ability to give your party a magical shield that ignores all damage for 5 seconds on top of having the core skill to restrain targets is absolutely awesome. Not to mention the mystic spear hand weapon benefits from the magic of sorcerer and strength of thief.

Warfarer would be 100x better if you could combo skills without needing to use the warfarer skill in between. Still dreaming of being able to dash to a dragon's head with the mystic spearhand skill and then immediately perform a skull splitter with the daggers. Having to switch weapons in between those skills makes it exttemely hard to do.

At first I used Archer's tarring arrow with MA's flaming arrow and restorative shot for reiable ranged heal/rez, though at moment Sorc for levitate and galvanize and replaced tarring arrow with skull splitter and enjoying the flow and utility ^^ I shall try your Sorc combo later! Still always having restorative shot gives base decent tracked range damage feom MA, so that seems a permanent slot~

Couldnt you go flare in to either frost seeker or ricochet so it stacks atks with you swapping to skull splitter after that, That to me seems more broken imo

you can jsut change weapon in the inventory screen, you dont really need rearm if you dont want to

I dont think skipping on rearmament is bad. Warfarer lets you equip any armor. You can have equipment to better fit your target. Figuting a Dragon? Be a thief with wizard clothes. Fighting a melee focused boss? Be a sorcerer in heavy armor

11:00 - "So because I've pumped my magic from leveling a Sorcerer, cuz yes that does help..." Nope. Not how it works in this one. Core stats are static. If you level 1-999 as a fighter then switch to Sorcerer, your stats will be as if you leveled 1-999 as Sorcerer.

It's a pain in the ass to do, but you technically don't need Rearmament to swap vocations as a Warfarer. You just have to go into your inventory and swap them there.

I just unlocked this after magick Archer pretty much back-to-back so I set up Mystic spear hand fighter and magick Archer I haven't got any magick Archer skills yet just trying to see other people's builds and what's the best outcome

This works significantly better with magick archers rivet shot shooting the orb.

Wayfarer makes it possible to be the ultimate support class. Just think the buffs trickster can give to your pawns with more buffs/heal/shielding that mystic spearhand and mage can provide.

I finished this and it really needs more content it’s lacking badly in stuff to do especially its end game and no hard mode feel like once you beat it that’s it you basically just one tap everything in new game plus and just wipe through trolls and griffins which is boring I’m disappointed tbh cause I like this game as far as it’s combat and progression upgrades etc but I want a challenge

I started with thief maxed him out, then mystic spearhand! Now doing warfarer! Next will be warrior .

dont know if i missed it, but it should be noted you cant use meister skills as warfarer, unless thats an unlock for it later. that alone was enough for me to ignore it entirely since im crutching hard on formless feint, but knowing now that it levels all vocations up kinda makes it dumb to not be using it

Dyanism is the best augment in the game, it makes you one weight class lighter than whatever you are

The only downsides to warfarer are 10% reduction in all stats and you cannot use the ultimate skill of any class. My favorite skills are augural flare, saggitae arrow, and the dash attack from mystic spearhand.
