I will say this, the Alchemist really beefed up their base for an attack against one puppet boi. Carcasses of various sizes roaming the first half, artillery guarding the gates. Traps, and one riddling murder robot

A Souls-like Wizard of Oz sounds sick. Though it intrigue me as a concept seeing as the story (at least from memory) is about being in a dream and going from a to b while recruiting more allies.

What's interesting is that, cannonically, NOBODY CAN DIE in Oz, because of its status as a fairyland. Which suggests that the 'reset' mechanic will be via the teleportation magic of the ruby slippers instead of a time-loop, and it's possible that everyone will remember what you do from one set to the next. @@joshuawallen8112

I just beat it on NG+ He will chomp your health. But since it took me about *90* attempts to beat him the first time, I learned to perfect guard most of his 1st phase attacks. Bring throwables & Perfection grindstone for Phase 2

I don't think that bit at the end is the most surprising thing. After all, there was America McGee's: Alice Madness Returns, which was kind of a dark, gritty, version of Alice in Wonderland. However this can supersede that my a large margin as a souls like. Of course, it would be really entertaining watching you guys play through it.

My final opinion of this game is that it's got a truly excellent aesthetic, some great gameplay, and some great writing. However, I have noticed some issues regarding it reveling in even more "fuck you, player" traps than the average soulslike.

I think you mean Wizard of Oz, not Alice in Wonderland. That was Dorothy Gale, with the Ruby Slippers. Which, if they do make a whole thing with fairy tales and fables... It reminds me of this old webcomic (from the 2000's I think?) that had a bunch of the fairy tale people as like, action heroes in it. Dorothy could teleport with her slippers, stuff like that. I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called, though...
