I think generally the countermeasure collection is called a 'Bucket' though that just might be terminology i got from the Hornet. Love the videos!

What would be a recommended CM programm for standard mission?
@blackhatch464 жыл бұрын
There are a few videos on the CMDS for the MI8 but none on how to employ them. Avoiding IR missles, how to conduct a proper break etc. Does anyone have this info for the Russian doctrine?

From a Russian Mi-8 Tutorial dude (Foxer64) "Mi-8 is not a combat Chopper, but it can give light support, if you meet ground ressitance its better to break, if they got IR Missiles you will have a short mission".

@@ZunaZurugi It IS a combat helo. Its an assualt aircraft. It lands in hostile areas to deploy and redeploy troops.

@@blackhatch46 Like Toyota pickups yes :D But realy, the soviets wanted it to be replcaed for combat roles inc. troop transpoort thats the whole point of mi24 existence. Even the cute Mi-2 could be used with great armament for combat roles, its just not to great getting fired uppon. But the attack strategie is usaly use rocket pods from 1-3km and break away to not fly over enemy troops.

Cool, that looks like same or similar as in the Ka-50?
@vsTerminus4 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure it's the same, but I haven't spent any time learning the Ka-50 yet so there could be some differences.

Yeah it's the same - the UV-26 with the same control panel and dispenser banks.
