Definitely surprised that Dolce wasn’t on the list , I think it’s one of the best episode regarding Hannibal and Will’s relationship and shows how much they have changed because of each other. I completely agree with this ranking and I think it’s fantastic but I think Dolce should have been somewhere on the list, I will say that the scene where they are sitting in front of the Primavera and having their heart to heart, “you and I have begun to blur...” will always be my favorite scene from the series.

Hannibal was an amazing series. The acting was phenomenal and the people who wrote it knew how to write plot, drive, backgrounds, character development... just thinking about it is making me wish they had another season. *BTW, there was recent mention that another season may be in the future*

The fact they chose the name Sutcliffe for the Doctor was an interesting reference. Presumably to the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe aka The Yorkshire Ripper as opposed to the Chesapeake Ripper.

Just watching the intro of the show quickens my breath and accelerates my heartbeat. This is one of the most mesmerizing show of all time. Every episode expressed something and every small detail had its own meaning. The relationship between Will and Hannibal was one that, even not actually relatable, grips my heart when thinking about it. This tv series NEEDS to be saved.

Awesome list! Knew exactly what the top three would be, and in what order. They're mine, too! I spent all day at work yesterday deciding my top 10 Hannibal episodes (what, it was inventory and we weren't allowed to stock anything; there wasn't much to do.) I would have put Mizumono, Episode 7 of Season 3 (I forgot the name for that one.) and Wrath of The Lamb in a three-way tie for Number 1 in my list. Mizumono because it was, for me, the most powerful episode of all, Episode 7 of Season 3 for it's powerfully chilling moments of suspense, emotion and visceral horror (Cordell about to remove Will's face, the pig baby, the final scene in Will's house and so on.) and Wrath of The Lamb because not only did it take the conclusion of the Red Dragon story into a new a different direction (as this show has done with all elements of the Hannibal saga) but it's ending could serve as a fulfilling ambiguous ending, leaving it open for a next season if such a thing happens (Please God let it happen!) but it also plays out like a fulfilling conclusion to what was and is a masterful TV series, one that is my Number 1 favourite and the bets show of all time!

I would barely pick any episodes from season 3. While there were some brilliant moments in season 3, namely when Will first looks for hannibal in the church, visiting his origins, la primavera re-union, some of the prison scenes and Verger's comical and diabolical scenes. I really didnt love the Red Dragon much at all, nor did I enjoy Hannibal bike riding around and living with bedelia (even though I loved the sessions in season 1 between them) and the ending of season 3 didnt do it for me. Not in the same way season 1 and 2 did anyway. Season 3 was experimental and interesting, much more confident than season 1 which was half genius half csi. But season 3 was also messy and far too repetitive, not lean but bloated. Season 2 was magic though.

They have written a lot of parallels between him and Clarice, and while it didn't start out like this, Bryan Fuller is completely on board with making Will into Hannibal's love interest rather than Clarice Also, like you said, will is the protagonist. I don't think they would just _replace_ him, not after his arc has come so far

Have seen all three seasons now. Love Mads Mikkelsen. Does creep so well. Kind of torn as to whether I like this series. It is so disturbing in many ways. Grotesque, revolting, unsettling, discomforting, horrific violence, buckets of blood...made me squirm so often. Actually prefer William Peterson as Will Graham. Dancy seems a little too young. Gay fanboys go crazy for Will and Hannibal, think they are lovers (that second pillow on Will's bed). Oooh. The dragon wings look so fake. Not frightened at all. The plaid suits Hannibal wears are a riot. So awful. With all the gore, I still noticed.

Believe it or not, Hugh Dancy was about 40 years old when he portrayed Will Graham. I didn’t realise that when I watched it, but he’s 45 years old now.
