As theatre artist Ebrahim Alkazi passed away on August 4, Siddhant Mohan of The Lallantop interviewed Raghubir Yadav. Veteran actor Yadav remembers his mentor and teacher Alkazi, his association with him, his teachings, acting classes, interactions, and his days at NSD. Yadav acted in several critically acclaimed and awarded movies like Massey Sahib, Lagaan, Pipali Live, Salaam Bombay, and several others, but says that learning is important than claiming to act.

Teacher should only teach in depth, baki raaste pe chalna aur Institute se nikal ke karm krna to students ke oopar hi hota hai, not just NSD but everywhere....aur kaunsa empire bhai??? He could have opened pvt elkazi acting schools and aaj bharat ke har bade shahar me hota, crores ka revenue hota, aisi unki respect thi acting me, fir bhi apni zindagi ka major hissa sarkari Institute ko khada krne aur chalane me laga diya unhone, aaj even europe me purane senior actors shayad bollywood ko na jaane par NSD ka naam poore world ke theatre world ko pata hai, mandi house ko performance aur cultural hub banaya, what empire sir??
