Sometimes life gets in the way so I don't have a chance to watch the new PFTB on Friday, but I do watch them with joy every week. Thank you for this weekly invitation to join you in your space. I'm back in Bangkok now, but I lived for a few years in a pineapple field near Kui Buri, a village that might remind you of Turtle Beach. I was the village farang, and, as someone of a certain age, I always had the sense that the town folk there were watching out for me. I was not directly on the Gulf, but just a short scooter ride from it. Two or three times per week I'd hop over to one of the little beach restaurants for a fried fish and a beer while looking out at the sea. Places like Kui Buri and Turtle Beach can be absolutely idyllic for those of us with the attitude to appreciate the quiet charms.

I found it particularly attractive and certainly pleasant because I once stood on that stage as a wrestler in my youth. Gambling about the party is actually a side issue. Muay Thai fighters are pretty good but could be much better if combined with another style. I trained with Geoff Todds school of hand to hand combat/self defence in Dunedin, New Zealand. No fancy high kicks or any stuff like that, the real deal, so to speak, all kick strikes below the belt, groin, knees, shins, feet etc,. He trains a section of the USA military. Ive been in Thailand for 30 years and once hoped into the ring with a couple of Muay Thai guys, one at a time. I flattened both of them and was told never to come back. Just saying. I'm not an aggressive person, actually a very quiet person whom you'd never notice out and about. Im older now but the stuff Geoff taught me comes in handy if im ever picked on. Like watching Muay Thai still. 😊

@ScooterOnHisWay20248 ай бұрын
Is it possible that it is because there are a lot of us farang here and that the roads here continue to be dangerous to all who find themselves on them? Every country has a most dangerous endeavor. Thousands die every month in accidents in The States & other countries as well, there are just so many that it is no longer newsworthy - unless it is a 'person of note.' Way more Thais die on the roads here, as the math would dictate, but that is not making your newsfeed - or mine.

This channel's vibe is drastically different from your presence on TNT. Where one has a positive energy, is entertaining, informative, humorous, and often uplifting; the other has been branded (maybe not by choice) as a view into the lonely pathetic life of an old man living in "paradise". Or perhaps: "How to live a life barely worth living and convince yourself that you've found happiness." Don't get me wrong, there is definitely an audience for this content. Many similar old men gain comfort from seeing themselves mirrored on KZbin. Wishing you the best!
