It was a stunning colour, it is a bit of a shame the bike was pillaged for parts and the frame now sits unloved in my garage.

The colour is just stunning in the flesh under good light :-) Did you go for the blue or green?
@barbaracunliffe4122 жыл бұрын
nice looking frame could you fit a non boost crankset on the frame without any clearance issues. chainring hitting the frame
@churchofdirt-mtb2 жыл бұрын
To be honest that would depend on the crankset and chainring size. I wouldn't advise it is the short answer. Are you considering a particular crankset and chainring?
@barbaracunliffe4122 жыл бұрын
got the nx 32 tooth crankset but wanting to transfer parts from the brand x ht 01 frame with a non boost rear wheel so was going to use the boost conversion kit with the 2- 3mm spacers on either side of the wheel and the spacer for the rotor so my chainline would be the same as i have now, running a 1x10
@churchofdirt-mtb2 жыл бұрын
@@barbaracunliffe412 ah ok, hopefully the brake rotor lines up ok as well. I'll do some maths and have a check for you, might be a couple of days though
@churchofdirt-mtb2 жыл бұрын
@@barbaracunliffe412 apologies for the delay, OK conclusion is with a 32T chainring is that it should* fit. (*Obviously I cannot recommend this, based upon recommended BB spacer placement for 73mm BB, does reduce clearance from about 1cm to about 0.6 cm)

2021 models don't have the seat tube gusset? Or is that a size small thing?
@churchofdirt-mtb3 жыл бұрын
Basically yes, the extra tube is size-specific and being a small it doesn't have one :-)

is it me or does the colour look like it has a bit of purple/copper running through it?

I took a look again and I think it may be the video producing that effect over the paint work. Does go well with the purple bits Ive put on the frame though

Made in Taiwan.......was considering this brand thought it was a European company and made in Europe....think imma go with rocky mountain cdn made.
@churchofdirt-mtb3 жыл бұрын
Comparatively, very few frames are made in Europe, more designed here and the manufacture subbed out to Taiwan which are the bike frame capital of the world. (Though the brand should also be doing QA on the products). There are some brands that supply UK made frames, often along side Taiwan produced frames but a premium is paid for these. Ragley frames are relatively cheap. Even if the frames are built in a particular country, the steel tubing, tooling and components may not be. I suppose it largely depends on how important "Tubes cut and welded in X country" is in an individuals buying decision?
@thaddeuswonipo20733 жыл бұрын
Hi what forks did you put on the marley?
@churchofdirt-mtb3 жыл бұрын
Hey @Thaddeus Wonipo I've ordered (though still awaiting) some Marzocchi Bomber Z2's in 130mm travel. For the UK market, this isn't a stocked options (actually most Fox and Marzocchi products aren't in stock in the UK at the moment) so I've had to raise a custom order with Silverfish, which will take a 120mm fork and adjust the travel to 130mm.
