HODO i like to pint out in the waterfall stone bio you'll find more metal nodes then you can farm. go check that area out. it's a bit different from standard ark because it's not super mountiany. also under that water in the rivers/lake has tons of silica. hope that helps

All over the place, really. Finally figured out that I needed to break them when they were long since useless to me, yesterday. Haha. FYI, they also spawn under the water, near the shoreline of Viking Bay, which is a spawn point. Good way to start with metal tools/spears/food/etc.

ragure they dont give metal picks though. they give metal hatchet, sword, pike, spears, stone arrows, bows, crossbows and flint. havent seen anything else on their loot table. the highest concentration of them ive seen is by blue ob, but you can find one or two in ruins as well and randomly throughout the map. id have to do more testing, but it also appears that you get more from them using a hatchet on them over a pick.

just a couple quick notes, there is an underwater tunnel/cave system that is "the best" spawn for silica, but also the river in the canyon is littered with them. there is a cave hidden by breakable rocks that has a large amount of metal nodes in it and a small herbivore island right out front of the canyon with a bunch of rich metal nodes on it (metal is everywhere and not hard to find just need to know where to look, most of it spawns partially in the ground or mountains as they dont just spawn in the open like other maps). oil can be found in many places as well but mostly in the snow, go to the penguin/bear cave and oil for days, not to mention water and oil nodes from scorched spawn on the map..theres a spot in the canyon that has 2 oil nodes right next to each other for easy access. one last bit, black pearls easy farming...eurypterids spawn in mass by the sunken viking boat in viking bay.

I love the resource spawns on this map, they're so creative compared to other maps. also, you can find dead basils washed up on the beach in the highlands NE that you can harvest for keratin, spoiled meat, hide and oil. be careful though, cause you find allot of megalania walking around there

Cactus sap, little aloe plants in viking bay. Crystal: in jungle area on mountain and caves around there. Metal/obsidian all around there as well. Oil rocks in penguin caves as well as oil nodes you can place pumps on. Trees for sap are around the jungle area as well. Silica pearls there is underwater cave in viking bay that has more than you will ever need. Look for a small rock with a wood board/door sitting on it. That is the marker for an entrance into the cave.

You can also find oil nodes and veins in that icy area with the penguins, silica pearls in a cave in the water of the Viking bay, and lots of metal nodes on the coast, in the side of the mountain on the way from the Viking bay to the scorched area. You'll know where the metal is because there are lots of these stone pillar things by the metal

For crystal and obsidian, the best is the cave under the castle, you arent forced to go by the water, theres a way in the swamps around that castle, just be careful about the labyrinth, the megalosaurs, and the dark.

You CAN get cactus sap, somewhere in the middle I gues it is of the world border it doesn't touch skybox so you can fly over. Then fly around in the desert and u will find cactusses and dino's spawning, going back out is flying through the border anywhere.

there is a ton of crystal by the artifact of the devourer, you dive in and there is a good 20 or so crystal spawns, there are metal spawns in a cave near by and if you head to north of the swamp on the normal beach head, there is about 12 metal rocks and a cave near by with more metal and obsidian.

Cactus sap can be found from Aloe Vera plants, they have a red flower poking out the top and look just like an aloe. Viking bay 1 /jungle 1 merge point and SW islands have them, that I know for certain.

There are actually harvestable black pearls in the western deep ocean. They look like the normal silica pearls, except they are in black. you find them in little wrecks in this part of the ocean

Ragnarok is probably the EASIEST map to get metal on. I get more metal on this map than any other map, combined. Rich metal(damn near solid pyrite colored ones) are usually more inland/near more dangerous dino spawns, but the normal metal/moderate metal concentrated rocks are all over the place, even on cliff ledges and sometimes they spawn inside rocks/other metal nodes.

If you spawn in viking bay kinda in a canyon thing with what looks like an incomplete landbridge. Go towards the blue spire and when you get to the island corner take a left. Keep going until you get to an area with a water fall on a cliff going into the ocean. Travel upstream of that waterfall and you should find tons of metal

There is crystal and pearls in a cave in viking bay, deep, there is a wooden structure on a rock in the middle of the bay. also there is tones of metal around the shoreline of viking bay also. it just doesn't look like metal, it looks like the rocks found in and around the rivers in the red woods on center that you think have metal but never do. your welcome.

The only reason I found this is because I built in the grand Canyon, but under the sandy rocks you will find loads of metal. Still in the grand canyon there is a pillar with a deep pool on top, crystal is lining that pool. Don't leave cause there is clay rocks at ground level near all the water (make a whip to gather really fast). You can find the silk for the whip near the lighthouse if you look for purple flowers. Back to the grand canyon, there is oil and pearls in the water. Grand canyon is alpha base location if you ask me.

I know this is old but......There is a TON of metal on Rag, you just need to look harder for it. The canyon is the best bet for a long sweep from one side to the other. But Ragnarok did something clever with metal. It is UNDER stone, and in lots of caves.

It is possible to find cactus sap.. I dont have SE but i find a lot of sand and cactus at my current base. i dont know the cords to it. But close kinds close to the location of the beavers is a place full of plateaus. There are small red alo vera like plats, and they drop cactus sap.

unless beavers have learned how to replenish their dams, then you should note: throw the wood and everything which you dont need from the dam after you loot it as they dont seem to refresh automatically (subject to patch?... PLEASE!). If youre worried you might die, drop a sleeping bag or tent next to your bird for a tactical respawn, just dont leave anything inside the dam ;)
