This was great, thanks, I been tryin to find out about "plans fish tank stand woodwork" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Yiyli Yeyavid Booster - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got great success with it.

Re the battery corroding inside the casing. This is a ventilation issue. To solve drill a tiny, 1mm hole in the casing to allow it to vent the battery compartment. Et voilà, no corrosion.

I have one - it's double-sided and it has 2 scales on each side of the tape, so the numbers are never upside down. 5M long and has both a 'hold' button and a lock. The 'hook plate' at the end has upward and downward-facing hooks too. I love it.

I hope to turn my hobby into my work also someday. But first making it a hobby is my priority. Hope to work with you even if it is from far away. Cheers.

Just wondering if there are any legal issues with carrying a knife (albeit a small one) around with you in public places? Great vid and good timing by the way 👍🏻
@jabrwok5 жыл бұрын
I always worry about my favorite British youtubers when they admit to having, let alone *carrying*, sharp objects. Hopefully it's not actually as bad over there as we in the colonies hear.
@bscott775 жыл бұрын
jabrwok I think you’re ok with having them but if you are found to have one on your person in public then that maybe an issue depending on the view of the officer involved. If they believe you are carrying / concealing an offensive weapon then they could arrest you for it. We have a major issue in some of our more major cities with knife gangs at the moment so it’s a real hot potato for the police right now but they tend to favour far more substantial items sadly
@-Benedict5 жыл бұрын
My understanding, which could be flawed: In the UK, it's legal for an adult to carry a folding pocket knife in a public place, as long as the length of the cutting edge does not exceed three inches (76.2mm), and the blade is opened manually, providing you have a "good reason or lawful authority" to do so. In practice this refers to your intent. Carrying it for reasons of work or general utility is fine. Carrying it as a weapon is not. If in doubt, contact your local police station for definitive advice.
@bscott775 жыл бұрын
Benedict Builds sounds about right now you have explained that. Remember something now about blade sizes 👍🏻
